Very capable device that's well built.
Wow! I wasn't expecting it to be so good!My meds are very densely compressed 12mm long X 6mm wide x 4mm thick. My 3mth supply normally take me forty minutes to break in half by fingers, and that actually hurts my fingers. Some time back I did invest in a single pill splitter which whilst it took fifty mins, it at least gave my fingers a rest, but I couldn't find it so looked on Amazon and saw this. The "AQ Swift Cut".It reported it could cut multiple pills at a time, and I thought "heck, even if it did two at once that would be a improvement", expecting it to be a sales gimmick, what if it was, I could always return it, so ordered it for £8.99.I've just put it to the untimate test straight out the box, eight! Well, maybe I was expecting too much, but incredibly it managed FIVE... Yes, FIVE tablets in one go!... I managed to do all my pills in 25mins!...So, the secret to doing multiple pills is space them out with a gap of about about 2mm and bring the side in so they just grip gently. Doing this means when the blade comes down and spreads the pills to either side, they have some space to go into the silicon when the blade pushes them apart.I checked the blade after (by bringing the lid down over half way) and it was just as sharp as when I tested it before I started. It feels very well made, and for sure it functions as it should, giving a very clean cut with just a little more force than my single pill cutter.I personally have no use for the pill pot supplied, and the brush, whilst I suspect useful, I would prefer if I could access the blade to wipe it down so as to removed all trace of my medication so my partner could use it for their medication, as there is no way to truly clean the blade between medications with the safety features in place. A medication that may be safe for me, could be dangerous for her, or, if we had a child, for them. So be aware of that as I feel an improvement here is needed. In it's current design the blade is held firmly, and akin to the thickness and rigidity of a popular utility blade, but being half the height, and one long piece, not replaceable. There is no twist or warp to the blade when cutting as there is additional support along the sides of the blade. The blade is also well protected and sharp. The dial to adjust the sides is a little stiff, maybe that's just my product, maybe it will work better in time, but I believe it to be part of the design so it doesn't move too freely when set to the width of the pills it needs to hold. There is good grip on the dial, and the edges of the dial extend about 6mm on either side, so an appliance such as a cosy grip that's used to open tops could be used, safe to say this dial offers a positive feel to it's movement. The silicon components offer good grip, and whilst they do twist the pills a little as you close the sides, if you compensate for this they hold amazingly! The product is a good size, fits my hand very well, but I do have hands that take a XL glove. But place the product on a flat surface and push down and it will work just as well for smaller hands or those with less compression strength.Under compression the top doesn't twist, this was a surprise, it means it has been designed and constructed to tight tolerances which is good.Material wise it isn't flimsy, the ABS has substantial thickness in all areas it needs it (except one which I'll mention shortly), thought has gone into the design of areas that need to be thick for strength, and a couple of areas that are thinner as no forces are applied, such as the pill collector area, even the blade protector has added support, as does the blade holder itself.Time will tell how long it lasts, but I will update this review as I'm very curious as to the longevity of this product myself.I feel it's only other downside (aside from the cleaning of the blade) will be the hinge clips. I mean, it survived my use, but I think over time this area may fracture as a lot of pressure is put on two points, history has taught me this will be it's weak point, but I also feel the designer took this into consideration, and again, this does have some addition support, so I'm on the fence about this one part...Is it value for money? Yes.Having now used it I feel it is value for money and I won't be sending it back.I've taken more time writing this review than I did taking the pills out their foil, putting them in the pill cutter, and putting the cut pills in their pots.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
What a fab pill cutter! Really easy to use, and cuts A few at a time if needed. Perfectly cut down the middle. Just turn the cogs to open the center & position tablets, tighten the cogs to hold the tablets in place and tap the lid down. You won't be disappointed. More expensive yes, but worth it.

Better than a single cutter
Much quicker than doing one pill at a time. Although more accurate than the single pill cutter it still isn't 100%

Does exactly what is needed
Great item if you need to half dose a pill. Cuts nice and clean and you get a container for storing the cut pills.

Adjustable to fit the size of the tablet
I bought a tablet cutter from my local chemist a while ago and it was nothing short of useless. It crushed the tablets into small pieces and powder, rendering them unusable.I purchased this one on Amazon hoping it would be better but expecting the same. It’s a much better product and leaves my first one standing by miles. You place the tablet or tablets (you can cut more than one at a time) turn the little wheels to close the space the tablet(s) lie in and just close the lid. Not very much pressure needed. Then just open it up release the tablets and there’s even a little box to store them in and a little brush to remove any debris. So easy and works perfectly 9 times out of 10. Highly recommended.

Another of the same!
I purchased this as the pill cutter I had doesn’t seem to be cutting so well these days. I mainly cut 200mg Paracetamol tablets from the Vets, having to cut them in to 4 pieces. I thought this machine might be the answer as the old cutter crumbles the tablets when cutting. I find it is absolutely no different to the old machine I have. The machine does allow you to cut more than one tablet which is a positive but I fond that when I moved the jaws together to hold the tablet it actually rotated slightly. If you are trying to cut a tablet that has a groove across it for the half dose this can be a problem. I did master it by trial and error however. The advantage of the cutter is that the blade is protected so there is less chance of cutting fingers on cleaning, a good idea.Do I feel this machine is worth the little bit extra? In honesty No. would I recommend it? No, these products all seem very hit and miss with regards to getting a clean cut. Shame really, perhaps I was hoping for the impossible!

Excellent pill splitter
An excellent pill splitter. Will take any size of pill and neatly cuts it in two with no crumbling or one half bigger than the other!!

Junk. Not accurate cutting.
This is rubbish. Cuts pills unevenly. Blade is off centre and is not sharp. Some pills get crushed. Small pills fall into adjustment holes. I'm going back to a single cutter. This is fancy junk.
