Thoroughly recommend this to all but the most pedantic cinephiles. But let's get the kinda-bad out the way;THE MEH:• It's only got one HDMI port. Would have been good to get an additional one a different side of the unit. Also, there isn't' a 3.5mm audio jack. BUT, the speaker is very loud and the Bluetooth is excellent.• It runs android but there's no play store support. BUT you can install android apps, including Netflix, Plex and Prime, as APKs from a USB stick. The projector doesn't support google play services, so you cant install Google-owned apps like YouTube/Play Store/Gmail. Make sure you've got the clock set to automatic as otherwise some apks won't install.• It supports 3D movies and they look gorgeous. But there is zero included instructions and customer support didn't realise it was 3D enabled. If you want it to work with a PC rather than spanking out for a blu-ray player.. On your computer install MPC home cinema, install the MAD-VR plugin, obtain a 3D movie, and get some DLP glasses. If the 3d setting is greyed out, set the projector to 1080p 120HZ in your PC display settings.• If your PC is going to be placed away from the projector (mine is ~3m) buy a decent quality 4k HDMI cable. Cheap cables do work but may intermittently lose signal for a second every few hours.THE GOOD• It's tiny, the fact a 4k short throw projector can be a dinky 30cm cube is a game changer.• Massive, bright, crisp image and deeper blacks than other entry level 4k projectors• Great speakers and great Bluetooth• The TV remote android app works great, the best smart phone controller I've ever used. Similar to the brilliant Unified Controller app for windows but less cluttered)• Also supports wireless keyboards, just stick the keyboard dongle into one of the USB slots.• Has lots of features I didn't know I needed from previous cheap projectors which make lense correction painless. A few reviews have complained about it not saving when you turn it off... It takes less than 30 seconds to correct each time you turn it on, perfectly acceptable.• An absolute steal for the £550 price, it's closest competitor as of writing is £1300, isn't short throw, and is twice as big.

It has a decently bright image and good resolution with several settings for colour preferences all with minimal rainbow artefacts for a laser projector. It has adequate software and the speakers are serviceable but lack depth. The remote is simple and it has reasonable functions with a backlight. The build quality is very plasticky, it looks and feels cheap. Also some spelling errors in sub menus which don't affect use were just amusing and irritating in equal measure. It makes lower resolution content look worse in my opinion whereas the LG Cinebeam Q upscales brilliantly in comparison though with obvious rainbow artefacts.The major issue I had and the reason for returning is that the main setting "Brightest" was green and no adjustments with the settings changed it. A software update would not install so I did a factory reset and had to return it.

I feel that this projector represents excellent value for money, I've owned a lot of projectors from lamp based models to 3les to triple laser, including large high end JVC units.This projector throws an excellent picture with very good brightness and excellent contrast and black levels due to the 0.65" chip. Fan noise is also very quiet, the only thing you can hear is the slight buzz of the 4K pixel shifting xpr motor.It's also short throw meaning you can get a 100 inch image from around 7feet away.The only downside would be the lack of an ARC connection for audio meaning you can't connect an external sound system, and the fact that it only has one hdmi connection.Aside from that at this price it represents excellent value for money and you'd have to pay a lot more for a significant jump in image quality !

I recently purchased P1000 projector from Amazon at a bargain price in Black Friday event. I have been studying reviews of many projectors trying to visualise how they would perform with a standard 98" white screen. Rather challenging as very few oppertunities exist where can view them before deciding.This model was on my short list as reviews in publications were favourable. The use of .65" DMD instead of .47" improved contrast ratio which is an important issue. One can spend a fortune and still be disappointed.The photos were taken off screen and appear without any processing. Bear in mind that no projector can produce OLED tv black level. Sound quality is very good from pair of speakers either side of unit. I did experience minor issue with "auto focus". I recommend using manual function from remote control. A very easy task for best viewing.In short, very pleased with purchase.

Absolutely fantastic. I have an oled t.v. which this projector actually replaced. My partner wishes she had a wall big enough so she could get one. Very digitally perfect. Even in sunlight it's good

I thought I'd go for high spec and pay more but not always the best option. As the software was terrible, wouldn't connect to my network, apps would load or werent even available in play store as advertised, contrast ratio and brightness also poor, I sent it back and bought something else.
