Ltl Acorn 5210 Series Security Box

This sturdy box adds a much better level of weatherproofing and security to the Acorn range on Trail cameras. Mine wouldn't fit without the removal of some of the foam padding from the box but once in it is a good fit.The adjustable mounting bracket that comes with it is barely adequate and not of sufficient quality and strength to do up tight enough to hold the heavy camera & box in any position. A stupid plastic multi position arm held by two poor quality allen screws and ball joints fixed to a mounting plate made from the thinnest piece of metal possible. No where near tough enough. It may hold a smal digital camera rigidly ( for which it was probably designed) but not the weight of the box and camera. I may source something more substancial that will fit into the fairly standard screw mount on the back and bottom of the box.

Good, strong & secure box. Camera fits snug inside against the foam pads which prevent the camera rattling around inside the box. The design of the box is good, removeable front fascia which has a tab/slot arrangement at the top rather than using a hinge which would have been a potential weak spot. I used coach screws and large washers to fix the box to a fence post. The screws/plugs provided are a waste of time, too weedy to be of any use. The adjustable mount went straight in the metal recycling. I agree with other reviewers that this mount is nowhere near strong enough to cope with the weight of the box + a camera inside. I was not planning to use this mount anyway, but would have probably sought an alternative if I'd needed to have an adjustable mount. I am very happy with the box though. My five star rating is just for the quality of the box.

Very robust metal box that will protect the Acorn 5210. The box can be secured with a small padlock. I was expecting it to protect from the weather as well. but it has a 17mm hole in the top and on both sides. Why? I have had to seal up these three holes to prevent the entry of rain.

Very clear pictures most of the time; sometimes, early in morning or late in evening, picture washes out in the mid ground. Brilliant for what we use it for i.e. Seeing what's eating our crops on the allotment.

Worth getting to protect your trail cam from being stolen or removed providing you secure it corectly. Supporting angle bracket is not fit for purpose but may be useful if you have a light weight camera.

Good product and worth buying to keep my camera secured, however the packaging wasn't the best from the supplier and found the hole where i put my lock was a bit small for the padlock I needed to ensure my camera stayed secure. had to drill the hole bigger :)

This a strong well made box which fully protects the camera, I agree with other comments that the included support is a joke. Worth the money I would say yes.

The camera fitted the case but was a bad fit and would have sent it back,for a refund had we not been going abroad for our holiday.
