Quiet
I really like it because it has big numbers, a nice retro look and it is totally quiet. I don't know how the alarm sounds, I don't need that, I bought it for the kitchen.

Feels cheap but looks good
The positive: nice design overall, easy to read, looks nice on the table, very basic/simple-to-understand controls. The less positive: knobs to set time and alarm are too small & the tiny black knobs against recessed black housing are hard on eyes for older adults. The awful: literally took me six minutes to get a battery installed!! FAR too recessed so poor design of this function.

Extremely Poor Design for a Sharp Product
Insanely weird battery compartment lid that took me 15 minutes just to figure out how to open it. If you look at the attached pic, you can see the weird little thing above the lid that appears to be completely separate from the lid in function. The little thing also has a deep hole going down into the clock that at first appears to be maybe a reset hole that you would stick a paper clip in to reset an electronic device. But apparently, it's just a deep hole there for no reason. So I eventually figured out that I had to pull the little thing above the compartment to get it open. But I nearly decided to return the purchase before I figured it out. Also, the plastic the lid is made out of is incredibly cheap and razor thin, so will likely break very easily. I know I'm not the only one who had difficulty figuring this out by reading just a few other negative reviews. I'm guessing many people just got frustrated and used something to gouge the lid open, thereby breaking it. Would definitely not recommend this cheaply made, poorly designed product to anyone.

Cool little clock
Basic clock, and I do mean basic, but if you are like me and that's all you need, then it's perfect. No tic tic tic, no hum. If you need to read the time when it's dark, you better look for something else. I have it next to my bed and it keeps great time. It has an alarm setting, but I don't use it as the alarm on my phone is already set up.

Highly Accurate
Great looking, keeps time, visible across the room. All good!

Brittle plastic. Eats a battery every couple of weeks at best.
I love the look of this clock and how the second hand sweeps smoothly and quietly around, but overall I'm really disappointed. It takes one AA battery which last a few weeks if you're lucky. Lately it's been eating one every few days. The clock itself is made of cheap, brittle plastic, and the battery cover is a pain to remove and replace. Don't buy this. You'll regret it.

chinzy!
The instructions are tiny and have unclear instructions, namely concerning the battery compartment. The tab broke off when I tried to open the battery compartment where the line was drawn to...when in fact it is the tab above indication place. In desperation I tried to open it and "snap" plastic broke off. It is working now, but will be difficult to "change battery" when necessary. The alarm is very low in the sound department and continuous. The clock from the front view is nice.
