AA greatness.
This is my first EDC right angle flashlight and I'm annoyed with myself for waiting so long to try one. Let me just say I think the light is extremely well executed. My only to gripes are pretty small. First, there is no beacon mode. Not deal breaker at all, but I would use it if it had it. Second, the light doesn't carry as deep in the pocket as I would like. The reverse side of the clip is just too difficult to get clipped on my jeans to really be useful.I think the illumination settings are well spaced and the run time is more than adequate for such a small edc package. I plan on getting a couple fenix 1050mah 14500 batteries as backup. Being able to use AA's in a pinch is great when you go to rural areas like I do and cr123's are tougher to find for my other EDC.

Cool white Version (Purchased)
I really like this headlamp. Have other ones that are all plastic and they are great but use more than one battery. Wanted to get a head lamp that uses just one battery since having one battery is more likely in a crunch than having multiple batteries. Did not have an issue with the color of the light produced like some of the reviews. The light produced looks like any other standard LED light that I have used. It does getting pretty warm on the brightest setting which I think is normal. I would say using in middle brightness produces little or no heat. As far as brightness goes and using outside on the brightest setting I had no problem seeing the entire backyard that comes with an average house. So I think outside and using it to see around is not a problem and definitely bright enough. Also I have had the light for 13 days now and have had the same battery in the light using it a little each day to test it; have not noticed a battery drain from the battery staying in the light as I read in other reviews. I like the way you change the brightness. You hold down the button and it will go in the opposite direction of the last time you change the brightness, once it is as bright or as dim as you want let go of the button, if you want to change the brightness again (which will change in the opposite direction as mentioned) you simply hold down the button again. One button press to turn it off and on is great no pressing three times to cycle through different brightness just to turn it off. When going in the brightest direction it will double flash once it is as bright as it can go. Also didn't have an issue with the weight of the headlamp compared to others I own. Overall if you are looking for a well made headlamp that uses only one battery I would highly recommend this light.

Affordable and well-built
This light is built much better than the typical product made by "brand you never heard of which is some unpronounceable word" that plagues Amazon, while still being relatively affordable (in the context of flashlight 'enthusiast' stuff, which gets crazy expensive.)The light is bright enough, and it feels nice on the head. Only downside is the color purity is not ideal, there's a bit of a green-ish cast which comes and goes depending on what part of the cone of light you're in. But it's ignorable.I chose to use this with Eneloop NiMH AA cells, for their low self-discharge (can sit in a drawer for long periods) and affordability; you can buy an 8-pack and have numerous spares waiting. Also for not dealing with Alkalines that leak and aren't reusable. Probably not getting the maximum light intensity level or runtime compared to Lithium cells but it's a tradeoff I'm fine with.

A number of changes, some of which are improvements.
The new TH20 Pro institutes a number of changes from the previous iteration of this headlamp, the TH20. Weighing in at 81 grams with the strap included, this Pro model is lighter than it's predecessor by 19 grams. This may not seem like much but it does feel lighter when worn and makes it a little more backpacker-friendly than the older model. The new model I ordered was the "cool-white" version, so the rest of my review only applies to that version of the "pro." While things do look more natural in the "warm" or neutral version, at nighttime what is really important is simply being able to make out what it is that you are looking at--like "is that a dog or a coyote approaching my campsite?" With cool-white, clarity is improved but colors are "off." I have decided that sightseeing and appreciation of nature is best done during the daylight hours. The beam pattern on the cool version of the "Pro" model makes use of a TIR lens and thus is a more narrow focused beam with a large "hot-spot." This more narrow beam and increased throw makes the "cool-white" model well suited for nighttime running or for close up tasks where maximum light is needed. Although the beam is more narrow, it's all around usability is such that I wouldn't hesitate to use it for general camping. The range is good and the capability of having a 2 minute burst of (claimed) 1010 lumens is great for such a tiny headlamp. The included lithium-ion 14500 battery has a claimed 920 mAh capacity, which is quite respectable for a 14500 battery. The headlamp itself does not have an external charging port, a design which helps to maintain waterproofness over the long haul. The battery must be removed for charging, and it is the flashlight head which is removed instead of the tail. I do feel that this design increases the danger of dropping and damaging the light, despite the claimed 4.9 ft. impact resistance. The battery itself has a built-in charging port of the USB-C variety and also an LED to indicate it's status while charging. A USB-A to C type charging cable is included in the package. I do not know if the battery can be charged any other way than by using the built in port-- an important point to consider if you are taking it backpacking as you need to know what accessories you need to bring along in order to charge it. Thrunite's customer service never replied to my question regarding methods of charging. It also seems impossible to purchase another battery of similar design from Thrunite. I didn't see one on their website and again, Thrunite's customer service has not replied to my inquiry regarding that either. The included instruction sheet has basic specs and information, but the part mentioning which battery types are compatible was missing from the English portion of the instructions. Luckily I was able to discern from the German portion that it can work with Ni-Mh and alkaline batteries as well. Lithium disposables would have been my preference but as their voltage is higher and they are not mentioned in the instructions I don't know about compatibility with those. If you read the fine print you'll note that a "triple-click" will get you an "S.O.S." mode as well. The right angle design makes it easier than the previous model to remove from the rubber holder should you wish to use it as a flashlight instead of a headlamp. Personally I will never do so as I have several flashlights already, so the pocket clip I also find unnecessary for my needs. A couple of O-rings were provided, but no additional rubber holder as with the previous model. All in all, I do consider this to be a upgrade and it is now my preferred headlamp. The price is low for what you get but there may not really be any customer service, so you'll have to consider that if you decide to purchase one. A very nice headlamp, but I subtract one star for lack of any response from their customer service.

Soldi spesi bene.

It's light enough and comfortable to wear
It's everything I expected it to be. It's light enough and comfortable to wear, built to last, comes with spare parts and there's a decent amount of light from one AA battery (I don't have a 14500 to test the 520 lumens but 250 from the AA is enough for it's intended purpose) This is my third Thrunite flashlight (T11S v2 and the TI 162lumen are my other 2) All have been solid flash lights, reasonably affordable and well built for the price. Can't really go wrong. Recommended!UPDATE: I put an Olight 14500 in the TH20 (very tight fit) and wow what a difference. Turbo at 520 lumens from this little light is impressive.I don't see any reason to opt for the TH10 unless you're climbing Everest or prefer the longer run time an 18650 offers and can accept the trade off for the added weight.
