Good cheap SFP switch
I didn't keep using this after testing but this switch works well for what it is. Unmanaged, very affordable... two SFP+ ports and the rest 2.5G RJ45. It's great to use for homelab or something, or if you need an SFP+ port to bypass an ISP device.

Nice upgrade.
Works perfectly fine for me. super easy plug and Play. Way faster than my 1 gig switch I was using. Doesn't get too hot my 1 gig switch got way hotter than this one does which is a nice improvement.

Compact 8-Port 2.5G Switch with a Minor Quirk
I've been using this SODOLA 8-port 2.5G switch (with one 10G SFP+ port) for about four months now, primarily connected via its SFP+ port to another multi-gig switch in my home network. In terms of core functionality – speed, stability, heat, and noise – my experience has been largely positive and quite similar to other well-performing unmanaged 2.5G switches I've used. It delivers reliable 2.5Gbps speeds, runs cool and silent (presumably fanless), and was instantly recognized and operational thanks to its plug-and-play design. The most distinct aspect of this SODOLA switch is its physical design, which presents both a pro and a con. On the positive side, by arranging the eight 2.5G RJ45 ports in two rows (stacked vertically), the switch achieves a remarkably small desktop footprint for an 8-port unit. This is great if you're tight on space. However, the downside of this arrangement is that the ports are quite crowded. Plugging and unplugging network cables, especially if you're using thicker cables or boots, can be rather fiddly and requires some patience due to the limited space between ports.Connectivity includes the eight 2.5G ports and the single 10G SFP+ port, which, as mentioned, has worked flawlessly for linking to my other switch. It's important for potential buyers to note that having only one SFP+ port does limit its flexibility. While perfect for connecting to a single upstream device or router at high speed, it means this switch isn't suitable as a central or core switch if your network design requires multiple SFP/SFP+ connections for uplinks or linking several high-speed devices/switches.Overall, this SODOLA switch offers a good number of 2.5G ports in a very compact package and performs reliably. Its value seems competitive, aligning with the positive sentiment often seen for brands offering similar specs at lower price points. I'd recommend it for users who need to connect multiple 2.5G devices, prioritize minimizing desktop clutter, and only require a single SFP+ connection. Just be prepared for slightly tighter cable management due to the stacked port layout.

So far, everything is great
I've had this for a little over a month at this point. So far, everything has been great. I get full 2.5gb speeds between my computers that have 2.5gb cards. The others get 1 with no issue.I've got 2gb fiber coming into the house and decided that I was going to run hardwires to each room. This allowed me to do that and have extra ports for devices in the room it's in.So far I have no complaints, at all

Plug & Play install, works well in mixed speed network
Upgraded a mixed network with both 1Gb & 2.5Gb systems. Systems with 2.5Gb LAN daily move very large files back & forth between production & storage server.Old 1GB switch limited transfer speeds. SODOLA switch ups speeds to 280 MB/s and more than halves transfer times.Very little slowdown with multiple simultaneous transfers.Switch case is solid metal, only gets warm under load. Dual speed leds are useful. RJ ports are tight & latch solidly.Install was literally P&P with no configuration on any network systems.Has been in constant operation for 10 days with no network issues. Long-term reliability TBD

Awesome little switch!
I was a little worried about trying some of these switches as I've seen horror stories of some no names in the past. These are actually pretty great for their price. I use a few of these at home now and even purchased a big daddy 12 port version from them. All have been flawless in operation. I'll definitely be back if I need capacity.

Stops transferring at 2.5 Gbit after an hour or two
I connected 2 machines, both with 2.5Gb NICs, thru the switch. When I do a speed test between the two machines immediately after powering up the switch, I get data trasfer speeds of 2.30 to 2.36 Gb/sec. Perfectly acceptable. An hour or two later I run the same test and I 0.930 Gb to 0.96 Gb transfer rates. If I unplug the two cable from the switch and plug them into a female / female JR-45 coupler, I get 2.35 to 2.40 Gbps transfer rate.If I power cycle the ether net switch and plug the cables back into it, it goes back to 2.30-2.36 Gb transfer rates, then another hour later it drops back to 0.93 to 0.96 Gb again. The entire time the ether net NICs, and the switch ports indicate 2.5 Gb link speed.I bought 2 of these switches and they both exhibit the exact same behavior.
