Adding the drives is not ideal when compared with the Drivestor Pro or Lockstor but at a lower cost, the difference is worth it, particularly as I do not intend to swap drives out frequently (if ever).As a Media Server it is brilliant and is quick to respond over a local network and remotely.The only issue I have is not necessarily with the Asustor, it is the constant chattering of the HDD's. Clearly, SSD's would resolve this but at a price. As a media server it appears the NAS is not allowed to sleep, which if it were would provide some peace.

Easy to fit the drives. Undo three screws, lift the cover and slide them in. Download software, to laptop format drives, set usernames and passwords and off you go. Load relevant apps to your phone for easy access to the drive. Sonos system picked it up easily. Good value and works well.

Brilliant, easy to set up and working a treat, only draw back is the fan is slightly noisy so don't put in your bedroom or living room apart from that it's fantastic.

A good piece of kit, easy to setup with good windows icons and mobile apps. Has good speeds for all functionality ( read,write and viewing )

I wanted it to streamline my music and movies which it does very well.

Faulty from new unboxing. Would not power up so suspect a faulty circuit board.
