Scunci, Effortless Beauty, Banana Barrettes, 3 Count (Pack of 1)

With the weather getting warmer, its time to pull my hair back and off my neck. A regular ponytail using a rubber band or elastic, looks cute on a little one, but not me. These banana barrettes pull back my hair into a nice looking pony. They are thicker but shorter than a regular banana clip (which doesn't work for my hair). These pull back all of my hair and securely locks in place.

My sister uses these banana clips which stay in her hair better than other banana clips - because they snap shut at either end instead of the fishtail closure. They are just the right length and very stylish. So I bought a few for myself. Unfortunately my hair is too thin to keep the clip on by itself. I must use Bobbie pins to help hold the clip.

Super cute, very 90s. My only complaint is that they slip in my hair, but that’s because my hair is fine not an issue with the clips themselves. I think especially for a curly girl these would be so cute

I was very excited about these but was let down. The clips open from both ends instead of having a hinge at one. I have very thick hair and this resulted in the bottom popping open all the time while trying to close the top. The different color plastics vary in strength too. The white is so soft that it never stays closed and the black was so brittle it broke while opening for the first time. The brown one is the only one that seems to be alright-strange

I wore these in the 80’s and, in my opinion, they are way better than any hair clips made since! They work well on any hair type. Mine is thin and I just style it, spray with freeze hair spray, then attach the clip. Never slips out. I only wish they came in other colors.

They come apart on both ends so it is very hard to use these. I remember the same clips in the 80s and they worked great, but because they unhook on both ends, when you attempt to put them in your hair, the opposite end unclips and it's of no use. The plastic is also flimsy so it bends when you try to get your hair in them. I wanted them for easy breazy cute pony tail, but I have to work to hard to get them to work right. I should have listened to the other reviews. Live and learn.

My Hair is Medium to thin long and curly, I am telling you these where made for curly girls!! but Agree with other reviewers that if your hair is extremely thick and curly or just really really thick this might not close properly or Pop open from the Strain , otherwise it makes My pony look long and Luxurious, I have purchased these several times , the clear one is my Favorite as far as color because my hair is very blonde and it almost disappears and I feel just looks better as far as color.
