Expensive way to restrict usage
For some unknown reason, this device does not allow the scanner to be connected to a computer for scanning like it is in stand alone use. This several hundred dollar battery and cheap screen limit scanner captures to mobile app use only. While this may not normally be an issue, the mobile app is not in any official app stores and has to be sideloaded, which is incidentally the same way to intentionally install malware/spyware.
