It's difficult to distinguish one combo CO/smoke detector from another nowadays because they are so plentiful and they all have pretty much the same main function -- detect and warn about CO and smoke. However, I think this detector is a little better than most because (1) it is particularly easy to mount because the mounting bracket has numerous slots and sliding positions for screws; (2) the display is easy to read because it has good contrast and size; (3) it is easy to test or temporarily silence from the ground (without having to climb a ladder or stool) because the test "button" is actually a 4" round plate that can be easy pressed with a broom handle or yardstick.It came with three Energizer AA batteries which I tested before installation. All three batteries read max voltage on my battery tester, which means they are likely to last the entire expected lifetime.Although Meross is not as well known in the USA as the two top brands, they are a major company that makes many products home safety products. They are proud of their quality and brand name and they are highly likely to be around for support in the future.

Wanted another smoke alarm for my garage (as a piece of mind) and was looking into a smart alarm but all I could find were wired alarms (I don't have a wire in my garage so it has to be battery operated). Then I remembered a few months ago seeing on Meross's website they offered a new alarm. Having owned several of Meross's Smart switches and Light bulbs, they make great smart devices that work very well for my needs. Came across this listing and liked what this alarm offered. I looked at the reviewsand see others liked the features it offered.Its battery operated and also includes a Carbon Monoxide detector is a bonus. It was very easy to setup and included everything I need to start it up and mount to my ceiling. Also says its good for 10 years!Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and have piece of mind knowing its capable of detecting Smoke & Carbon Monoxide.

IT worked as expected but could not test as usual since there is no test button. I put this in my RV and the mounting plates is loose, no snap into place, we shall see if it falls out. Someone complained it would not connect to other units, but that is what stand alone means!

I love that it comes ready to go. The bracket is easy to get the detector out in order to install batteries which makes me confident that when it’s time to replace it will be an easy job to do. The screen is clear to see the information that pops up. I’d say a bigger screen is the only thing I’d add but to be honest it’s not necessary as you get all you need from alarm tone and showing information on the screen. Size of perfect so that it doesn’t make it an eyesore.

I have owned this for 3 months now.1st month all ok, we tested with birthday candle, it worked and then we left it outside for a couple of days.At the end of the second month, it starts indicating that there is fire in the house, when there is not. I have changed the batteries, changes the location and no matter what every 2 days the alarm sounds indicating fire.Not recommended.

Looks very well made. Fits close to ceiling not bulky. Seems to work very well.

I placed this battery powered smoke and CO alarm in media room close to the location where kids have their gaming gear. Liked the design with little display to see the warnings. Package included 3 AA batteries, mounting hardware and instructions maual.Setup and install takes about 5 to 10 mins. Bought it when there is a 45% off promotion and certainly recommend this product.

Nice smoke/CO detector, good quality fit and finish with easy to read LCD screen. Mounting was easy. And they include batteries! I'd definitely go with this model again.
