I bought 2 boxes did the first one with my little ones foot just to get the feel of it. With directions ( read through them Completely before you start) it's very easy to do. Then I held his foot with my other son and babyfeet ring for the child I lost. This came out beautifully. I am so thankful I went with this buyer. There was not one thing I disliked. I would recommend this over and over again.

We purchased the item and followed the measuring instructions exactly as stated, but when i started mixing with a whisk, it was really difficult (Im a 30 year old with a great deal of strength) but our whick broke, so I had to scramble to find something else to mix with, which ended up only being a wooded spoon. So my first attempt was slightly lumpy and i FORCED my sons hand in the mixture, (which was beggining to harded because of my difficulties) but we still managed a mold. I continued on with the rest and the end result was horrific. What really sold me on the product was the 2nd chance guarantee. Made me feel appreciated that the seller REALLY wanted their customers to be satisfied. So I cashed in on that guarantee. I made a few alterations to the mold measurements (added 1 extra cup of water to mixture) and instead of a new whish I purchased a mixing paddle from Home Depot to attach to my drill and moved swiftly and the consistency was perfect. The end result turned out nearly perfect, a few tiny chips that didnt fill in the mold, (which you're suppose the pour in mixture at small amounts at a time and try to avoid bubbles and move the bucket around for full coverage, but i got impatient and avoided that step). Product I would recommend! I truly enjoyed the experience with my son.

My bf and I tried to do this as a romantic valentines thing. The instructions were not very good when it came to the time estimations. We timed everything according to the directions, and the stone mixture ended up hardening long before the "mixing time" expired.Anyway, as you can see, that left us with a hand figurine that has big chunks missing because the stone mix was already hardening and wasnt liquid enough to fill all the crevices in the mold.We had a good laugh about it, and I decided to paint up some zombie hands. Not a total loss. If you buy this, I'd recommend ignoring the times in the instructions. Get that stone mixture in there asap if you want intact hands.

You really need to read through the directions at least twice. Then assemble everything in a space with plenty of newspaper. Then read the directions again. Once you start, things move fast! KEEP YOUR HANDS STEADY AND POINT YOUR FINGERS DOWN! (If you don't, you will have bubbles on your fingertips and be very disappointed!) Best thing I ever thought to do for my sister and her two kids. My sister passed away recently from breast cancer. We knew the end was near since doctors had given her a prognosis of only a few weeks. I'm a new mom and Amazon will occasionally suggest these kind of items to me. I instantly knew this was something my sister would love. I ordered it through Prime got it delivered next day, went to my sister's on a Saturday and on Tuesday she passed away. I was careful to read the directions word for word. Since this was heavily emphasized by other reviews and the instructions themself, I didn't take a chance and followed them carefully. I had some help from other people coaching each kid, reminding them to stay still and warning me about how much time I had left for each step. I purchased two kits, one for mom and 4 year old boy and the other for mom and 8 year old girl. We practiced placing the hand in the bucket and made sure to not have any single standing curled up fingers. Everyone had fun, we took pictures and the hands came out wonderful. I haven't had a chance to do some of the details work to cover small holes or remove some of the excess plaster but I couldn't be any more satisfied with my purchase.

My girlfriend bought me this for Valentine's Day. We really enjoyed the whole process, it bonded us together working as a team, and the results were just amazing! The only thing, is that the molding level will be at your wrist level, but still is good though. In the future we might just get a bigger mold so we could get more of our arms. But overall, I really recommend this as a gift, or just something that will bond you and your beloved ones together!I would recommend this vendor, to produce some videos about finishing and painting the final result, that would be priceless
