Hard to follow abstract concepts audibly which could well be easier in written form.

This is an easy to read and understand book on everything you need to know about Cryptography, including the history of. I found this book to be very informational and interesting, a real page turner. Modern Cryptography uses mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering for applications such as ATM Cards, Computer Passwords, and data integrity. If you ever wanted to know anything about Cryptosystems then this book is for you!

Good overview. Would benefit from grammar checking, quoting sources, and general editing. Good value for coast, though. Thank you for posting.

The book has a lot of grammatical mistakes. The Amazon prime cost is a rip off!

Too shallow to really learn anything meaningful

This ebok contains acceptable information on cryptography theory, a good introduction to some methods used by ancient civilizations and some examples, besides that, nothing deep on methods to consider while encrypting or decrypting; it is written in an easy way for beginners, but it does not provide a complete spectrum of tools to be used and that is a shame; other than that, a good read for people who are interested on gaining a general understanding on cryptography.

I liked cryptography very much but I already research some material before this and I think they quite better than this one, this is pretty basic stuff but that’s just my opinion I think it needs so much more information, it’s nice that they talked about the roots of cryptography in general but I as we know cryptography can be very tricky to understand and I think this could have had more in information in the overall content of the book, I borrow this from my brother and I give it back. Not interested

I’m sorry to say, as I had high hopes, (since a book like this is really needed today) but this book unfortunately doesn’t service any audience particularly well. If you want an interesting overview of cryptography, with some interesting puzzles - Look elsewhere. If you want a working understanding of cryptography for whatever reason - look elsewhere. If you need any detail at all - look elsewhere. If you want endless lists of cryptographic algorithms with no explanation, then this is the book for you.

I would like more code exemples, recent encryption algorithms (for instance, the ones used on TLS 1.3), recent hash algorithms and digital algorithms as well. I could learn better on ArXiv, Wikipedia and Crypto Stack Exchange.
