Bought as a “nod and a wink” to the early 1990’s
When Calyx was produced/owned by Prescriptives it was a fantastic blast of green fruit (I’d never smelt anything like it before) that packed a punch then mellowed beautifully on the skin. I usually go for spicy oriental fragrances (Shalimar by Guerlain) but couldn’t resist purchasing a bottle back in the day. So when I saw that Clinique were making this wonderful fragrance I didn’t hesitate in buying a bottle. Unfortunately this version is nowhere near as good as the original. Oh well, let’s just say it was an expensive (to me) mistake. Won’t be buying again sorry!
