Excellent cleaning kit for full size camera sensor
Been a photographer for years and I am extremely careful about protecting the camera sensor and lenses. Somehow, I managed to get a hefty “gunky” smudge on the mirrorless camera sensor. After researching the best way to clean, I purchased this product. To me, the price is worth every penny. I was able to remove completely the gunk in with one full swipe forward and back- I found this product easy to use. Just follow the clear and easy directions that come with the kit.I now keep this kit in my camera bag-goes everywhere with me.

Effective, Cost Savings DIY Sensor Cleaning
The use of the Photographic Solutions Sensor Cleaning Kit is my first experience self-cleaning my camera’s sensor; as it was, a frustrating experience of my own making. Frustrating for two reasons. First, I ended up using all six of the provided sensors swabs unnecessarily, and second, because I felt like an idiot not recognizing my mistake earlier, or better yet, not making it at all.I’ll relate my sensor cleaning experience here so others might avoid the same irksome experience. There are two sources of spots in your pictures; dust and detritus on the sensor, and on the glass of the lens in use, with the latter being what I forgot to take into account.I used the plain blue sky as a background for my before and after tests of the sensor cleaning kit; I’ve included labeled, example pictures. Prior to the first swabbing of my sensor, I dusted it with air and then ran the cameras internal sensor cleaning application. I then swabbed the sensor in accordance with the simple directions provided on the back of the Swab Kit box. I also watched a couple of instructional Youtube videos clear on the process; I’ve never been particularly keen on cleaning my own sensors. The first swabbing removed dust spots I noticed on my initial test shot, prior to swabbing. However, I then noticed what I thought were blemishes that had been put on the sensor while swabbing; yikes, I was po’d. The Photographic Solutions Store was going to receive a scathingly negative review. In the meantime, I went through the rest of the single use swabs trying to remove those blotches, with no luck. I was now worried I had actually damaged my sensor, to the extent those blemishes were now permanent, and that it would be necessary to send it in for professional cleaning. In fact, the blotches turned out to be out-of-focus dust spots on the lens itself. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that right away. How did it finally dawn on me that the blotches I thought were on the sensor was actually dust on my lens? Well, it suddenly occurred to me to go back outside and look through the camera’s viewfinder at the plain sky; and there were the blemishes, plain to see in the viewfinder. The fact that they were visible in the viewfinder was evidence that their source was not the sensor and, more than likely, the lens. I cleaned the lens with air and the blemishes were now gone, replaced with relief.Live and learn; I only wish I hadn’t gone through all the swabs. I do in fact have both a full frame sensor camera, the one I’m referring to here in this review, and an APS-C sensor camera, so the lessons learned will serve when I clean the latter. All turned out well. The Photographic Solutions Sensor Cleaning Kit is simple to use, did effectively clean my camera’s sensor. Moreover, it provides cost savings, do-it-yourself convenience.

It works, but have had better
Overall this is an ok and serviceable sensor cleaner. One odd thing is most sensor cleaners say to wet one side, then flip over to the dry side and use that side to clean the sensor to avoid smears or over wetting. This kit made no mention of that and even recommended flipping over the swab. Not a huge deal as it got the job done, but I did find this left debris behind and required extra sweeps where other kits got the junk off in one go.

Trust, no other product for your full frame camera.
Sensor Swab and the Eclipse optic cleaning solution is the trusted standard for cleaning your sensor. There is no other cleaning product that I trust for my sensors cleaning. Owning dozens of DSLR's and mirrorless cameras it's not if, but when you need to clean them. And it's nothing you should be scared of. It's not rocket science. There are plenty of YouTube videos out there and tutorials. But using this product, it is almost impossible to damage a sensor if you use the product correctly. If you own a digital interchangeable lens camera, you should have this product available for when you need to do a cleaning. The procedure only takes minutes once you learn the correct way to do it, and what I mean the correct way, I mean if you have a DSLR going into the menu and locking up the mirror. On a mirrorless body going into the menu and opening the shutter, if there is a mechanical shutter in front of the sensor. These are just basic things to know. This is the only product I recommend for sensor cleaning. This is due to the swabs that are included, as well as the cleaning solution that helps prevent any streaking. And don't worry, you can always do it twice or three times if need be. But chances are if you follow the directions you'll have your sensor clean on the first application. Make sure that you get the correct kit for the sensor size that you have as the swab is the width of the sensor for single pass cleaning. Like I said, I recommend this product highly if you have a digital camera with a removable lens get one of these kits to have on hand.

I'm not sure these work well or if I'm just doing it wrong, but now my sensor has streaks.
I noticed a piece of dust on my camera's sensor, so ordered this sensor cleaning kit. I read the instructions, got the cleaning swab wet with the solution, and then wiped my sensor. However, I make it works, as now there are streaks all over my sensor because I was not able to wipe the complete full frame sensor in my sony camera. Maybe these are meant for smaller sensors, I am not sure, but for my use, this made things worse, and now I have to pay a camera repair shop to actually clean my sensor properly.

Great at cleaning your sensor
If you take a lot of photos like I do, and then edit them later, you might have noticed those gray spots or orbs in some portions of your sky. You may not see it in all photos, but you will see it in many. This is often attributed to dust and oil lubricating oil droplets on your sensor. No matter how clean you try to be, if you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera that has interchangeable lenses, sooner or later, some specs of dust and/or oil may find their way onto your sensor. However, your photos aren't ruined. Many modern apps can automatically remove dust spots, but it is best to keep your sensor clean in the first place. With this easy to use kit, simply lock up your mirror (DSLR) add some cleaning fluid to the swab, and in one smooth motion wipe across the sensor then flip the swab and repeat. Your gray orbs will be gone from your future photos. You get 6, so you could clean every-other-month and this kit would last a year.
