They work well together

These height modules are the final addition to my home theater system that makes it a true 5.1.2 arrangement. The extra spatial dimension they add to the already awesome sound of the Definitive Technology front, center, and rear surround speakers is just what I was hoping for.DT has a habit of packaging their products in very protective Styrofoam fitted boxes along with individual drawstring bags for each speaker, which is a nice touch. The user manuals are also very well put together and leave nothing else wanting.Fitting the modules atop my BP9020s was very straightforward and neat. They fit positively into the niche provided with a solid, built-in connection, no plugs or wires to mess with. The amp connections for the modules are on the back of the BR9020s, making connection to the AV receiver a breeze. Once the connections were done and the auto calibration of the Sony AV receiver that powers them was complete, all that was left was to sit back, dial up a Dolby Atmos enabled movie (Netflix and HBO Max have a lot of them, but Hulu so far has none) and enjoy the immersive sound. The Sony receiver is equipped with DTS:Xs mode called "Neural-X" that synthesizes spatial sounds for the height modules from non-Dolby Atmos sources as well, which is usually quite good. I haven't decided on a favorite between the two, but I will soon!If you are considering buying these modules you are already familiar with the quality and accuracy of DT speakers. These will certainly add to your enjoyment of their already amazing sound. I highly recommend adding them to your system. By the way, you may have to trade up to another AV receiver to enjoy the full effects if your current one is not Dolby Atmos and/or DTS:X enabled and has the additional height surround speaker jacks.

I haven't streamed any Atmos music yet, but these added height to the sound, increased the distance around the house that I can hear them clearly & further filled the space in the room in which I luxuriate to listen. I also added speaker cables instead of wire, which also helped. I hadn't realized I needed these speaker attachments, but glad I have them. I look forward now with anticipation to hearing familiar songs differently as well as having them seem to breathe with new life. The only caveat is that I have found the source of the music is all important. The reproduction is unforgiving.

I put a pair of these atop my BP9040’s, wired them up and let ‘em rip. They sound awesome for ATMOS and they even sound great using my amps “all channel mode” for non ATMOS music.Great value for what they do to the listening experience.

Today my A90’s arrived and I must say I was blown away. So I made sure to get everything set up and calibrated on my receiver but then did what everyone else, who was happy with them, and turned them up. Popped in blade runner 2042 as my first movie with them and from the first sound my jaw was on the floor. These make my Bp-9060’s sound massive. They give a huge sense of height. When it’s raining and K is on the rooftop with joi you can feel the rain coming from the ceiling.I highly recommend these if you already own def techs.
