Change your first layer speed settings!! beautiful plate.
So, I bought this and was reading the reviews and saw a lot of people had issues with adhesion especially on bigger surface area prints so I was nervous that it would not be a good plate.I ran across one review that said to change the first layer settings to: initial layer speed:20mm/s, initial layer infill:20mm/s, and initial layer height: .25mm.this worked perfect! I have since added a print profile in my slicer with these settings to use with this plate. Do not use gluestick on these holographic plates, it won't transfer the image (I tried that first before messing with the speed settings, since I have a non-holographic smooth plate that picks up the pattern with a layer of glue stick applied just fine). I test printed these big flat pieces and they are glass smooth on the back and adhered perfect to the plate and also easily peeled right off the plate when done.Long story short, follow the advice of the wonderful reviewer that put in lots of effort to figure out the correct first layer settings and use their #s and this plate is amazing! My printer is a Bambu P1S for reference.

Great adhesion and durable
Been using this build plate for nearly a year and love it. I've found that the carbon fiber side at 65° C for PLA and 80° for PETG offers better adhesion than the stock Bambu textured PEI sheet by far. I use that side almost exclusively now for PLA (+) and PETG. Buying another to replace the PEI textured plate that came with my second P1P.

Changed Review to User Error
While I had originally given this product a 1 star due to me thinking the holographic affect "rubbed off" immediately - I am here to retract that! Further research enlightened me that oils from my hands were the culprit. So the plate did it's job and left the design as shown. I had to adjust a few settings for bed adhesion, but I was also using PLA Silk filament. I have cancelled my refund/return request and am keeping the product...I have actually even shared it with my local makerspace community!

CLEAN IT A LOT!!! before use
This plate works great, you REALLY NEED TO CLEAN it, warm it and CLEAN it again to get the release agents out of it.SCRUB SCRUB SCRUB Dawn dish soap and SCRUB SCRUB SCRUB Isopropyl Alcohol for good adhesion. printed at BBL standard settings .4 nozzle PLA Basic

Cheap and janky. Hardly works without grief.
While the concept here is cool, they really cheap'd out on the material and fabrication of these plates. These don't just work with the X1C out of the box. There's all sorts of crap you've got to do to get them to even begin to work, and most of the time your prints will fail anyway. It doesn't matter how much you clean these stupid things, either. Even after cleaning with 99% IPA and wearing rubber gloves to handle the plate, it still has about a 10% success rate, and the successes look like crap because it's usually dragging strings around that didn't adhere. These are lazily fabricated. I'd wait until someone is releasing these with QR codes that the X1C recognizes and the adhesion issues have been sorted out. Other prismatic PEI plates that actually work are coated with something that increases adhesion. You can physically feel that these plates do not have that. They are always smooth to the touch, never tacky, which is the opposite of what you want.Yes, I've gone through all the troubleshooting forums online about these stupid things and tried every recommendation. The only time I've had a successful print is after doing the following:1) Put the textured PEI plate on2) Calibrate a print to the textured PEI plate3) Change the plates4) Turn off the "Enable plate detection" setting (if you don't do this it NEVER works)5) Set up your print with the Smooth PEI Plate selection6) Turn on a minimum of 7mm outer brims7) Increase plate heat to at least 50C7) Make sure to enable bed leveling and extrusion calibration when sending to the printer8) Watch closely and MANUALLY REMOVE all of the strings from the hot end that don't adhere to the plate, before it starts printing the part(s)9) Pray that the first layer adheres10) Stop print and repeat 9 more times until it works, because it definitely didn't work the first time

Better adhesion that the Bambu provided plate!
I bought this to be an extra plate for my Bambu Lab A1 3d printer. Since buying it, I have found myself only using it to print as some of my prints do not like the Bambu Labs plates. I have cleaned them and this plate still works better 100% of the time. I have yet to have a print fail on this plate due to adhesion. I have printed over 100 prints, both small as well as tall. Even the smooth side works perfect for me! I will definitely be buying a few more of these.
