I couldn't be happier with this impact wrench
My objectives for this impact tool were 1) removal/install of auto/machinery lug nuts, 2) sufficient torque, 3) reduced weight, 4) portability to the track and 5) a budget price. This Dewalt tool is perfect on all counts. Using just the lowest of three power settings, I had no problem removing my Mazda lug nuts torqued to 90 pd-ft. On the medium setting, it removed lug nuts torqued well over 100 pd-ft on a Bobcat skid-steer. I didn't measure the highest setting, but it is a big step up from medium setting in terms of speed and power. I also like the comfortable weight of the tool, even with a 5 amp-hour battery. This is my first time using a pinned socket connection vs. the hog ring. Attaching/removing impact sockets is definitely easier. The tool also uses a clever, quick pause before impacting starts during install and slowing speed during removals to eliminate run-offs. Finally, the price...... for about half the price of the highest torque Dewalt impacts, this is a bargain.

Very Happy
I bought this as an upgrade from my pneumatic impact wrench to work on my cars. Obviously, the battery is more convenient than the hose. But it's also lighter when using a 2mA or 3mA battery. I have also used it with a 6mA and 9mA battery (60V) and that gets a little heavy.I haven't had any other battery impact wrenches, but this DeWalt was more comfortable to handle and easier to switch from F to R and back than my friend's Milwaukee. The detent pin holds very well. I was a little concerned since my old impact was a hog ring, but I have had no issues with the sockets pulling off.The force is good. It pulled bolts out well, and the only bolt it was not able to remove was a large control arm bolt that I wasn't able to break loose with a breaker bar either. The impact wrench is strong, but it's not Superman.

all the torque i need!
i bought this one instead of its bigger brother for the ease of handling because it provides all of the torque that i need for my application, which is some mechanical work on my tahoe. it has no problems removing wheels, nuts underneath the car. i purchased this drill specifically to install a 3.5" lift kit....it worked perfectly and provided more than enough torque. this drill is perfect in my hand and not too heavy. the led light is a nice touch! btw, if you are working with wheels....do yourself a favor and buy a set of torque sticks. i over tightened a nut and it sheared off the bolt while i was driving!Revised 3/23/2024I absolutely love this drill! Ok here are the biggest pros about this product after years of used. The batteries last and last and last! The torque…it is capable of freeing all of the frozen nuts underneath my Tahoe. It is very well balanced and easy to used, I am glad I didn’t get big brother! Literally this is always the first tool that I grab when working on my truck. I recently installed a leveling kit on my suv, this power tool is a must!

The only review you'll ever need
If you've ever wasted your life rummaging around your shop to find a hollow steel pipe you could slip over the end of your already 18", 1/2" drive, ratchet wrench to bust loose a bolt or nut that ain't been moved since Russia was the U.S.S.R., then this bad little mamajamma is for you! Don't waste time getting cords out either. Dewalts 20v batteries are made to run for hours (not straight, don't do it straight) on a brushless tool. I use them more than a doormat at a supermarket. Pretty sure it has more torque than grandpas mule could kick to help break loose those really tough ones. The grip is designed to stick to your hand like a fly in honey on a hot summer day. I ain't never dropping this king. If it's too heavy for you, toughen up and hold it longer. You'll get used to it. Or use the comfy universal belt clip, for left or right handers. This is for hands free, but if you're not ready to curl this chunk all day, then "hang her up tea cup" .

Ideal for keeping in the car, truck, or trailer
i have more powerful impact and costly wrenches at home for heavy tractor and truck work. This mid-range impact wrench is perfect for taking on the road in a car, truck, or trailer. With an affordable price of $130, I bought one for each of my vehicles. Now I don’t have to be concerned about using the pitiful lug wrenches that come with new vehicles. I just added the appropriate sockets and a 4Ah battery for each one. This mid range impact wrench has no problems handling any of my cars, my utility trailers, and even my 2500HD pickup. I check and top off the batteries every 3 months if unused.

Great value and a 20V product BUT
Other than the fact that it is so new that Dewalt does not even have it listed as a product. Also Dewalts customer service is by far the worst. I have sent two messages a week a part and no answer. The date on the box and inscribed on the unit does not allow for proper registration. There is no SN listed on the box or unit. It works great but if you do not have any customer service what good is it.

Removes lug nuts with ease
I don’t know why I waited so long to get an impact wrench. I used to remove lug nuts with a standard tire iron or socket with breaker bar for the tight nuts. Recently I tried to remove nuts on one tire and they would not budge. Would need a breaker bar to get them off. After reviewing the various wrenches, I decided on this tool. I also bought impact sockets as well because standard sockets can shatter under the impact force. When it arrived, I tried this on the car tire I had trouble with, and this tool took the lug nuts off without any issue. No more struggling with removing lug nuts or any other nut. Highly recommend.
