Product looked nice but arrived severely damaged. Plank steps were split lengthwise and cracked when pressure was applied.

I've been using this foldable bamboo step stool for a while now, and overall, it's well-made and does the job. I'm giving it four stars because, while it's sturdy and functional, there are a couple of areas where it could be improved.The bamboo construction feels solid, and it holds my weight without creaking or feeling unsteady. At 280 lbs, I’ve had my fair share of flimsy step stools, and this one is definitely more reliable. The three-step design gives me enough height to reach high shelves, making it useful for the garage, pantry, or changing lightbulbs. The steps are wide and flat, which makes standing on them much more comfortable compared to narrow metal steps. The anti-slip strips on each step also provide decent traction.One thing I appreciate is that this stool looks much better than a standard metal ladder. The bamboo finish makes it something you don’t feel the need to hide in a closet, and it blends well in a kitchen or office setting. It also folds up smoothly and tucks away easily, so it doesn’t take up much space.That said, it’s a little heavier than I expected. Bamboo is strong, but it’s not as light as aluminum, so if you plan on moving it around frequently, it’s something to consider. Another thing missing is a locking mechanism to keep it fully open. It stays in place fine, but I’d feel more confident with a latch to prevent any accidental movement, especially when using the top step. I also noticed that some of the bamboo edges could have been sanded a bit smoother. They’re not rough enough to cause splinters, but they’re noticeable.

Received broken - sending back for replacement. We'll see how well that's handled...
