Great product
Works perfectly. Might save you some trouble if you know that, on the 4 wire current loop "current Source" program, you might have to tether your signal leading to the PLC input to ground with a resistor. SIM-ALP2+ to Analog In (data acquisition side), with a resistor to power supply ground. Then, data acquisition ground to negative of the SIM-ALP2. I used a 220Ω with 24vdc power supply. Although the choice is up to you. Hope this helps.Very nice product. And it came with some nice banana plug, alligator clip connectors.

Great for verifying wiring and analog inputs!
Excellent product! It does just what I need. Straightforward interface that's easy to navigate with the buttons. Very fast to fire up, connect and inject a signal to verify wiring and analog inputs. The screen actually shows where to connect the terminals depending on simulate vs source modes to help avoid wrong connections. It comes with banana connections and a set of leads that plug in but they are "needle-type" probes instead of alligator clips that would be preferable. I like that these terminals are also screw-down so I just use a couple pieces of wire to tie into the loop - most commonly to terminal blocks so pieces of wire is best for this, anyway. The default increment is 1mA which is fine to verify wiring/inputs. This can be changed easily to 0.1mA.I haven't tried the voltage mode other than to check it with a voltmeter. It is accurate and can be calibrared if need be anyway.I would prefer if this went from 0-20mA instead of starting at 4mA but not a big deal that it doesn't.Definitely recommend.

Nice little Simulator
Nice little Simulator,Size of the simulator: (A little bigger as a credit-card)- High 4,5 Inch- Wide 2,5 Inch- Thick 1,0 InchPro's:- Banana jacks can be used with leads or insert the wires directly, banana posts have a side-hole to fix wire directly.- Easy menu structure on value selections- Calibration possible on signals generated- Scaling of signal to user preference, for example 4-20 Ma. can be read as 10-100 or 0-200 to scale your application range oftemperature or pressure sensor.Con's:- No protection on the device to protect against a External powered loopIf you select Current Source or Voltage Mode it will damage the simulatorThe sales details are lagging in giving the buyer information on whats included, and what not.(14 September 2017: Sales details are updated)Included:- Soft case, that gives your device a good protection- Wrist lanyard to carry the case- D-ring to hang on to your belt or tool bag- Leads to measure (39,5 Inch / 1,0 Mtr. long)Not included:- 2 x AA BatteriesHappy Testing folks

Product is perfect for quickly troubleshooting instrumentation and automation equipment
Product is perfect for quickly troubleshooting instrumentation and automation equipment. It's difficult to get a $1000 Loop Tester approved so the price is more appealing.

Perfectly compact and capable, great for BAS programmers and techs!
Perfect device! It had served me well for months now. It’s small yet easy to read screen if wonderfully bright and concise.I applied an adhesive backed magnet to the back of the device to stick it to equipment while testing and commissioning.Highly suggest this product, it was well thought out. Thanks for creating a great tool!

Control Loops Simulation
This works great to calibrate closed loop control systems. It can be used to command a device or to simulate an input to the plc.
