We found my son had nits on Boxing Day so we got the comb out and took the opportunity to use the microscope for the fist time. The microscope doesn't take photos but as you can see it is possible with a bit of patience to take photos with your camera phone down the viewfinder. This picture is on minimum magnification.

I would say this is probably good for kids aged 6 plus

When it arrived the product box had clearly been opened (tape was cut, box slightly misshaped and the instructions inside were crumpled up). I was a bit worried as this is a Christmas gift but seen as the box was open I decided to check the product out- works quite good. Very fiddly to get the batteries in but once they were in it does a decent job. Probably not the most sturdy item and as I say I think mine has perhaps already been used! But it is cheaper than some others on the market so I guess you get what you pay for.
