This range of primers consists of a series of neutral colours, black, grey and white, and includes the RAL and Federal Standard colours used most frequently on vehicles, aircraft, ships and figures. The primers have been developed first of all to be used as base coat and primer at once, while at the same time their chemical composition has been designed to bring forth the most minute details of the model, so that the work of painting, blending, filtering and applying a wash, in short, all detailing effects, are easier to accomplish. Product can be used directly or diluted with AV Thinner Ref. 161 or AV Flow Improver Ref. 362. The primer dries to a mat, self-levelling finish - drying time of this primer is very quick and a resistant coating is obtained 24 hours after the application. All colours show great resistance to handling, and are ideal for priming surfaces such as resin, plastic, brass or white metal. Airbrushes are cleaned easily with water; if a more thorough cleaning is indicated, we recommend our Airbrush Cleaner AV 71.099.

Great brush on alternative to spraying
Fantastic if you want to avoid spraying. It might obscure some small details so I would still spray if its high resolution miniatures. But great for 3d prints to give a better finish.

Must know how to use
When sanding, can tear if not dried thoroughly. Overnight is usually adequate. Provides a consistent surface to work on when used correctly but prep is key ,lots of colours to. Stynylrez is better I'm told but I have got used to this and do like it.

Perfect for 3d printed models
I bought this product to coat my 3d models and I was very pleased with the results. I used a paint brush as I have yet to take the leap to an airbrush. The bottle is squeezy with a very small spout so you can squeeze out just a couple of drops to save wastage. I use a milk bottle top for smaller items. The paint is thin enough to spread nicely but thick enough to cover in one coat. It does seem to bring out the details on the 3d prints very well. The amount of paint in the bottle is quite small but I think it will last a long time.

Easy to use.
Sprays straight from bottle no need to thin down. Self levels and offers great coverage for a small amount. Can add flow improver to you airbrush if desired to cover even further. This is a acrylic primer so best used with acrylic paints.
