These tests are not supported by insurance companies anymore and results are misleading. They cannot be used for detecting presence of h. pylori, only whether or not your body has antibodies for it. Not all those who are infected with h. pylori create antibodies for it. Furthermore, antibodies for h. pylori can be found in people who are not currently infected. This test is marketed as an "H. Pylori Test kit" - it does not test for the presence of h. pylori.I'm leaving this review because Amazon and/or the company refused to cancel my order even though it was a full 24 hours before any fulfilment process had begun (immediately after the order was placed). There was no option on the cancelation to explain this as my reasoning, so I thought I might help the next potential buyer. Get the urea breath test if you want some actual indication as to whether or not you currently have an overgrowth of h. pylori.

It was great. I showed negative without going to dr for test. Still seeing a dr to get a second opinion.

Based on my usage I've raised my rating to 3 stars. If I could have given a 3.5 I would have. I assume it is accurate. I hope so. I've have not given it a higher rating because of the instructions. It took 2 people, one with an MA and one with a PhD to figure out how to administer the test. I think mostly due to at least 3 different scenarios under which the test could be administered, and a change in terminology between the scenarios. We did not use the support phone #, which might have made it easier to use, but we don't know. The results of the test showed 3 possible outcomes: positive, negative, and invalid. The possibility of an invalid outcome gave us more confidence in the eventual outcome. Bottom line: assuming results are accurate, I'm glad the test was available for home use and that we used it.

Do not buy, test does nothing and even states it only tests for pylori antibodies which is not an accurate indicator at all if you have overgrowth or infection. It’s a blood test which they did away with in medical settings the main tests are ammonia breath test and a stool sample in hospitals. Tests are highly inaccurate and when you go to the reviews it links you to items that are not this.

Do not buy this product! My daughter is positive for HPylori and took the test. It came back negative. I took the other one and the test didn't even work. It never registered anything on the display. This is a waste of time and money.
