World of Eric Carle, Around the Farm 30-Button Sound Book - PI Kids (Play-A-Sound) Hardcover – Sound Book, 31 Jan. 2013

I bought this as part of a birthday gift for my 2 year old niece. She loves books (more than toys) and animals - so this was a winner - AND it makes noise! Since receiving this a couple of weeks ago she can now say the names of 80% of the animals, and she will then play the correct noise for each. She could only say a few animals before this, like dog, bird, pig, horse, but in a few days she was saying so many of them! The only ones she struggles with is the likes of octopus, caterpillar, etc but they are hard words! I know she is at an age where she is a sponge, and all children develop at different paces, but I do think this book helped her pick up the words quicker as she could play with it by herself and press the words over and over again so she was really learning each word. The book itself is also beautiful so I highly recommend this as a gift for toddlers.

Great book but if you have a child or toddler that has a tendency to tear pages I would avoid. The pages are just paper, not cardboard and my daughter had it destroyed very quickly. I was raging considering the price. But.. is a great book and the sounds are really good

This is the best sound book I’ve come across (and I have a lot).Likes:BIG BUTTONS - big bright colour coded buttons.EASY TO PUSH - buttons are really easy to pushDislikes:ITS AMERICAN! - the words are pronounced in an American accent which can be confusing for toddlers and a few words are different e.g. Rooster instead of CockerelMUSIC INSTEAD OF THE SOUND - some have a little music instead of the sound. Caterpillar, butterfly and dragon fly. It’s just confusing.PAPER PAGES - thin paper pages that can easily be ripped out. It would be so much better as a board book

Gets kids to “think” about animals, plus popular bird calls beyond the usual farm onrs

This book is just great for my 17 months old girl - she asks to read and listen to this book few times a day. It's a little bit shame, that the book isn't cardboard since it's perfect for the toddlers and they are not very careful readers :) My 4 years old son with his friend also enjoy this book - they like acting the different animals and making their sounds.

This book is amazing. It has kept my son entertained for so long, the buttons are easy to press for his 18 month old fingers. He can most of the noises now. And it’s helped him learn a few of the names of the animals. Would strongly recommend.

I bought this for my two year old niece and she loves it. It’s great that the button pronounces the name of the animal and the sound they make. My niece has learnt all the names and can match all the images. Would definitely recommend this

Big pictures bright colours nice images but thin easy to rip pages. I had a button break and it will drive you insane if this happens untill you pull it apart and make it unusable. I had a rabbit bounce noise for a week every 1 hour going off on its own throughout day and night then too every 10 mins after a week. It went off on its own every 10 seconds after that I lasted half a day until I took it apart I tried to scratch out the button sensor which worked for a few days then the dead button kept going off every 5 seconds it would go off again before it had finished untill I dismantled it and broke it and threw it away. Would not rebuy for my own sanity.
