This base is exactly what we were looking for - a dark color, really sturdy, and great quality. After looking in several stores and finding nothing that was high quality and black except one at over $1,000, I found this one and took a chance given that it did not have many reviews and a couple had concerns. Well not only is this shower base beautiful and super strong with lots of support ribs, but the price is fantastic for what you get. Yes it is heavy as stated in one review and that's because it is so robust, I'm sure that it will never deform or crack. There was another comment about "All my plumbers looked at this pan and were like ‘that’s not gonna work’" - there is no issue with plumbing, it's a standard drain opening, if you are not doing it yourself, then any competent plumber will easily be able to do it. Finally, I was worried about damage in shipment (especially since it is quite heavy) and it came very well packaged with good protection and double boxed - even though there was some external damage to the outer box, it was in perfect condition when opened.

This is a great product! Low threshold and sloped well. It made the look of our bathroom!

For a one-piece floor level shower pan, this looks ideal. The pan is well made and sturdy. It’s not slippery. My only issue is that I wish I had installed it with more slope toward the drain. My installer insisted it must be perfectly level so the shower doors would fit, and of course he is right, but I’m disappointed I have to squeegie my shower floor or it stays wet for hours. The squeegie is one solution. Another possibility I’m considering is tiling over it with black penny tiles so we can increase the slope to the drain. So it’s fixable either way. The shower pan does have a gradual slope to it, and it’s reassuring to have a leak-proof base, but practically speaking, the slope should be greater.

Can be intimidating. Base is set in mortar base… seemed easy to get level.!once it’s in/ it’s in. Looks great. Easy to clean

Designing a new bath and needed the convenience of a walk in shower. This product works great and is easy to keep clean and offers roll in capability. We just love our new shower.

Not only do I have to remove this, I have to dispose of my new shower walls as well. Water doesn't run down the drain but my 2 thousand dollars will. Don't buy

Overall the base is ok, but the center metal drain cover is cheap cheap CHEAP. Very tinny and lightweight and doesn't stay in place well, even after following suggestions. The metal doesn't suit the quality of the rest of the base. Other than that, works great and would recommend.

This shower pan is stunning. Everyone that comes over loves it. I do have to squeegee it down after the shower to get the remaining water but that doesn’t bother me.
