Worked right out of the box
This replacement Chromecast remote worked on the first try. Same device as the original. Very happy with it.

Not worth it
Once paired, which is a task in itself, it acts a little funny, overall function is similar to the original up until it no longer is paired. For some reason it unpairs itself. I was unable to pair it to my tv for power/ volume control which was a problem. Tried pairing it to my soundbar and that didn’t work either so yeah. Junk.

Remote stopped working
I tried everything that was suggested. I love the Google TV system but this was the third remote I've bought. I temporarily lost two of them. Lol but it's getting a bit frustrating. I've bought over 200 movies & a few shows over the years. The other remotes worked fine until I lost them. I just ordered 2 more......

Mostly works but is frustrating to use
It was easy to set up and it mostly replaces the Google TV remote. But it is very glitchy and unreliable. You push the button and it might work quickly or it might get queued up for several seconds and then you naturally hit the button multiple times. It gets frustrating fast so I am ordering a different replacement.

Works great if you read the instructions
I forgot to hit the pair button on the Chromecast itself before trying to pair the remote and that works.

Syncing problem solved
I ordered this to replace the one the puppy chewed! I was ready to return it because I couldn't pair the new remote with the Chromecast device. I then read the review here by "Mr. Bruce" and he pointed out that the sync button was on the device not the remote!! Solved. Now it works fine! Thank you Mr. Bruce.
