Bought this item for a bday present and it was a big hit.

The Pop-Up Unicorn Pencil Case for Kids is a cute pencil case for little girls. It has a padded hardcover with a magnetic closure to keep it from opening while stored in a bag. The pencil case also has a pop-up feature that reveals a hidden compartment with additional stationery supplies, including tape, a sharpener, paper scissors (the scissors are plastic and can cut through 1 sheet of paper at a time), an eraser, a ruler, and 5 unsharpened pencils. This pencil is fun, but not practical if you are looking to keep a large amount of supplies. The section for pencils can only hold approximately 6-7 pencils in total. This makes a cute gift, but I do not recommend it for students to use for school.

It is cute to look at but literally nothing is functioning. The scissors don’t cut, the sharpener doesn’t work nor can you cut tape. Not to mention the sharpener and pencils- they also don’t work. So don’t buy it - it is not worth it!

The old fashioned pop out pencil case that we all loved from when we were kids. This is a genuine article of nostalgia for all 80’s and 90’s kids. Such a cute unicorn case and tucked inside with the push of a button are scissors, tape and a case to hold some pencils and other slender supplies. An eraser and tape measure are also placed inside to complete the pencil case. I originally got this pencil case as a gift for my 7 yr old daughter, but I just couldn’t give it away. It was too cool and reminded me so much of my pencil boxes from the past that I had to keep it. This pencil case gets my five stars and I would love to purchase others with different types of characters and themes. It would be nice to have one that I could give to my 9 yr old son as well, as he wouldn’t be thrilled with unicorns. Anyway, I really like this case and would absolutely recommend for someone wanting to experience nostalgia or needing a new pencil case!

This thing is awesome. I'm an adult and I want to carry this gadget in my briefcase. It is awesome! This would be a really cool gift.It has all the accessories included! It's a puffy, plastic type material. There isn't much room to store any of your own extras. It comes with pencils, scissors with no metal blade (but they can cut paper), a white eraser, a pencil sharpener and a small roll of tape.I don't think you could put in other scissors. And I'm not sure if the tape could be easily replaced. But it's so adorable.A real James Bond little gadget with labeled buttons (in English) and a fun 'snap' as your item pops out.

ruler was missing. other than that, you get what you paid for. kid liked it.
