From the day my carpet cleaner arrived, the tank cap was wonky. It pushed on even though it was supposed to be threaded. I struggled with leaking and tried to fix the original and finally it completely fell apart. This replacement saved me from having to buy a whole new machine!It always astounds me when aftermarket parts are more robust than the OEM parts, but I should have learned my lesson when I owned a Pontiac!

It was difficult replacing the small silicone piece that is located on the top when you install it into the machine. The actual screw-on part stopped the leaking. So much had been leaking out, and I was going through a lot of solution for no reason; it was just dumping into my carpet. The solution is quite expensive. That’s no longer a problem with this new replacement part.
