Blue Steel???
I don’t think this is blue steel. Blue steel tends to be a bit more substantial and weigh more in my experience. Maybe it is and it’s just coated. I would rather have a blue steel pan uncoated because a seasoned blue steel pan wouldn’t need the coating. That said, it seems like a solid pan, it doesn’t feel like aluminum underneath so it likely is steel. Feels like it will work fine and I’m excited to use it for a pizza cook out coming up….Did a trial spin and wow. I was blown away with the results. I didn’t even use the pizza oven, just regular home oven. The crust was crispy and a bit charred just as I was hoping for. I pre-baked the dough and then added the toppings and finished it on 500.

I used this pan a lot before giving a review. It’s absolutely wonderful and I should order another one. I make pizza often and I like the way it browns the crust perfectly with olive oil. I don’t use metal utensils with it; not a problem at all. A wooden utensil comes with it ; ) it’s a great value for the money

Not the original Detroit Style pizza pan but works well
I have the original Detroit Style pizza pans, both small and large and have made some very good pizza in them. I purchased this one with the hopes that clean up after making the pizza would be a little bit easier. I am excited to say that I used it 2 days ago. The pizza was as good as ever and the non-stick nature of this pan made clean up fairly simple(no scraping to remove the crusted, burned on dough. I recommend it highly unless you are just a Detroit Style purist.

Pan coating detaching
I have used thenpand 2x and have the non- stick coating detaching. Great pans to make this style pizza or bread. Just unfortunate that using certain spatulas easily remove the coating.
