This bookcase was not the best quality: It arrived damaged due to the light-weight materials it was made of.

Not easy to assemble.

This bookcase was delivered late and took another three weeks for Amazon to come and assemble it at a cost of $65 because of the initial delay in arrival. Four days after it was assembled, I noticed two large cracks in the top shelf over a foot long. As I ran my hand along the wood, it was paper thin where the cracks were but sturdy around the edges which are about half an inch thick. The sides were also very thin and bent inward when touched. I notified Amazon and had several online communications with the seller who insisted I send them pictures before they would refund the purchase price. Once I was able to send them pictures online, they refunded the full purchase price. The bookcase is an attractive style but for some reason, the top shelf is not thick all the way through so you cannot place anything heavy on it. Unfortunately, you cannot brace the underside of the top shelf because the door slides up and in leaving no room for a brace.

Perfect size for my needs. Great price. The finish was not very good, so I will put a couple more layers of finish on it. There were an extra set of drilled holes on the sides. The instructions were not for the cabinet I bought. It was easy to figure out how to put it together. I had extra parts. They had a pair of gloves with it, not sure what they were for. Overall, I really do like the cabinet.

This piece is beyond belief in wonderfulness! Easy to assemble, once I looked online at larger pictures on one of the videos, and just the best engineering I have ever seen in my long life! Thank you, thank you, thank you, and please keep making them. I'm gonna buy more, until I run out of room in my house!!!!!!! I cannot say enough good about this--everything lines up perfectly, and every moving part actually does what it's supposed to do! Bamboo is very sturdy, so I'm not worried about weighty things being placed on the shelves, and it's so light that I can easily put it where I want it. Just PERFECT!!!!! Wish I'd found this years ago. And now it's been a couple of months, so here is an update: this is just great! I use it all the time, and I just do not understand any of the complaints I read here; I have no complaints, just gratitude for making this available!!!!! And now, you have discontinued it--oh, please bring it back!!!!!

This items is depcited as a sturdy bookcase that has a roll top and can handle many items. No way. It weighs like 10 pounds (I, no Hercules, could've spun it like a basketball). It arrived with the wrong instructions and the QR scan on the instructions led to nowhere. I also had an odd number of parts. The top was already warped and the flip top draw won't stay up and is simply slotted in with a metal dowel - now rollers or casters.It is a piece of crap and shame on Amazon for selling it.

When I think of bamboo, I think strong and sturdy. This shelf is weak and the material is very thin.Assemble instructions were not very clear. Items did not have labels on them to match the instructions so it was a bit of a guessing game.After I assembled the bookcase, I noticed that the shelves have many scratches on them and they are very bowed. Packaging was not damaged so I assume this was a used item - even though it was not advertised as such. Not impressed, Amazon should removed them as sellers.
