Sharpest the longest
Bahco products are quite expensive but are full value for the consistent high level of sharpness ease of use and retention of edge. I have used these tools for varnish removal. There seems to be a handle design to get to most awkward areas with easy change blade replacement.

One very good quality blade
Misleading description. You get one very high quality blade for a high quality price. Worth it though, the bahco scraper is easily the best I have used, and it's still slightly cheaper than replacing the whole scraper. These things really should be priced to encourage replacement rather than disposal though. I thought the Swedes were good at that. Wrong again.

Amazing Device
This thing is amazing, I have tried all other methods of stripping the paint from my skirting boards that I can think of. Most did not trouble the paint ( goodness knows what the devilish substance actually is ) in the least bit, those that did required an inordinate amount of time and effort to strip even tiny areas. This thing just eats it up. Its so satisfying. Having endured weeks of the paint squatting on its boards laughing me its a real joy to at last hold the whip hand. Its not an effort free process, you need to be quite vigorous but vigour is rewarded.I also tried it on the varnish on the window frames, that is much easier to strip in general and with this it just comes off with one or two strokes. Beautiful.

Great blades
Tough and durable only 2 blades in a pack however they are double edged so you get x 4 use a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for!

Do you really need it?
Firstly, the price I paid, £13.95 which looking back is rather expensive for a 65 mill piece of carbon. When you compare them to the price of electric planer blades which are exactly the same and you can pick up a pack of ten of those for half the price on Amazon. I used it for stripping oil from oak worktops before sanding so not a lot of pressure, but the blade was significantly dulled on one side on just one length of worktop. As for a reviewer saying his was bent, they are concave on purpose otherwise no matter how careful you are the ends would dig into your woodwork sooner or later.I suppose for a one off job they are sufficient, but if you had a lot of work to do it could turn out rather expensive. If you are a DIY'er and only want it for one job you can buy a tool with the blade included for less money. I know people will make up there own minds, but personally I would not buy another.
