I have used this product on the two houses I have owned when I first saw this item. I just added two new doors to my house and bought the door armor pieces. Once installed, the door is very hard to break into.

This was a complete WASTE of my hard earned money. The screws breaks off and now you have a damaged door frame. I purchased this due to safety issues. A family member with 3 kids moved in and BF tried to kill her before. Well, I guess we will all die. I should just leave the front door unlocked. The doorWould not close with the items.

I have not installed this yet but I did take it out of the box to look at it and it looks well made, not flimsy. I will update once I install it.UPDATE: I did install this or some of it anyway. What was installed was easy. The only problem was not with the product but the door where I want it is a very well hung door. I do not not have much gap so without fabricating my door or the frame it won't work. We decided not to do that but I would recommend the product

This reinforcement set is thick, so it is harder to bend it or break it if an intruder were trying to break in. This is nicely powder coated and the instructions were easy to follow making it simple and quick to install. This really adds a lot of strength to those wooden frame doorways, now an intruder really has to work at it if they want in whereas before this, they could easily kick the door in and the thin wooden door jamb would just break, not anymore!

Overall amazing product & i love it.So let me start off by saying this isn't going to fit every door. Look at you're door and if the door has slight gap between door & the door jamb then it should fit. Should be able to slide a dime in between. If not then don't buy. Also same goes for hinge plate. I was only able to use 2 out the 3 plates for the hinges as the bottom of the door was too tight.

The pros: strong and installs easilyCons: the screw holes are almost too wide that the heads of most contractor and concrete screws I used won’t bite well. Next the door jamb plates almost make it too thick to co inside with the actual plate.Better off getting the security defender series

I had no problems installing these Bracketts, instructions were very simple. I can surely feel the difference with my door being strong and the normal way the door was at first. This is worth buying. Security is mandatory in our crazy society!!!!!

At first I was excited as the product seemed to be perfect. Then I tried to mount following the directions enclosed. The door jamb piece seemed to fit but one screw bent just as it started to catch. We managed to get it out after a lot of sweating, thinking it was a fluke and the other screws in that piece worked fine, I considered it water under the bridge. Then the door…the first piece worked well. The second piece, first screw, the head snapped immediately. It’s stuck forever. I emailed the company and they will not respond.
