I had a pair of Merrell walking shoes some time ago and I honestly wore them all the time. They were incredibly comfortable. My new pair will need just a little breaking in but I can already tell that they are going to be great. They look good, quite rugged, and they give excellent support to my feet making sure that I'll stay comfortable.

Really nice shoes but very tight fitting will need a lot of wear to break them in !Would strongly urge folk to go a half size bigger than their usual!

Excellent shoes as always and like the newer design which has removed the plastic toe cap. This is always the first thing give up. However I ordered UK10 and Amazon sent me UK11 which were sent from the USA. Seriously annoying having been told the error "can't happen again".

Really comfortable and we'll made shoes

I am not happy about writing this review, but it needs to be said. This my fourth pair of intercepts. I had found them to be fantastic - comfortable and hard wearing. However this latest pair , I'm not so pleased with. They were just as comfortable out of the box, but after just 10 months of wear, and not heavy wear, they have split around the protective toe. I don't know whether they have changed materials to an artificial material rather than a leather derivative. Anyway, I've not had this happen before - normally I've got three to four years of heavy use out of them, wearing out the soles. So, farewell Intercepts, you were good whilst you lasted, but some idiot at head office had to change something that had worked to save 50p!

I ordered a UK size 11 which was half a size too small. The shoe is great quality though, as you would expect from Merrell.
