Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) Mario Red Edition

Really good, quality is brilliant, battery life is very good in handheld mode

I had to get another SWITCH because something went wrong with it. So I thought i would spend a little more and upgrade to a OLED. It's the same console but as a better screen. The screen is bigger , the colours are richer the screen is a lot brighter . Another upgrade IS that the storage as been increased from 32 GB to 64 GB and the stand at the back is bigger and longer so the console sits a lot stonger. So if you are inneed of a new SWITICH i would Go for the OLED.

The OLED model is so much better - the bigger screen is amazing to play on, the vivid colours make games pop, and the use of metal instead of plastic for the console’s body makes it feel incredibly premium.This is one of my favourite special editions. It’s one of the very few Switches that has a coloured back - the rest are mostly black, even on other special editions. It’s the only OLED model to feature this too.The red console looks great when docked, especially since everything is one colour. If you’ve been looking to upgrade your Switch system to an OLED, I’d highly recommend doing so. At the time of writing this review, there are rumours of a new Nintendo console launching in 2024, but those rumours also suggest Switch games will not be compatible. Enjoy your Switch games in the highest possible quality today, play OLED!

Everything is fine, even if the box are covered in Chinese text, there is nothing to worry about.I did the same thing, because there was no English instructions I did panic, I had no idea that the back bit comes off the dock to connect the hdmi, the Internet and the charger.The only clue I had was the uk plug to connect the dock to the mains was inside the box.No matter what language the box comes in, all Nintendo Switch consoles are "region lock" free, which means I can play my chinese Nintendo here in the UK and play any game no matter what language, I can even play Japanese games if I wanted to!Now for the actual review for the console;I LOVE IT!I have been a PlayStation player since the 90's but I wanted a change and have something that is also multiplayer/family fun.It's so versatile, clever and truly (dare I say it) one of the best consoles I have ever played!Definitely worth every penny.

Got it as a gift so that is the only reason I didn't return it. There is nothing positive I can think of. It's not cheap. It's for the asian market so no documents in English and probably no warranty in the UK and Europe. Display doesn't look any different than a mid class tablet. Games are limited and expensive. Graphics are abysmal, you can get better Graphics on a tablet, not even comparable to other consoles and PCs. Controls are all over the place, different games different setups, they don't follow the same logic if any. Battery life is not impressive. Just buy any other gaming platform. If it wasn't for a kid that doesn't understand how returns work I wouldn't keep it.

I ordered the Mario Red edition from "Digital Tech Store" (fulfilled by Amazon) and it has arrived. It is a Japanese version box. I have not used or tested it as it is a birthday present for someone else. I am hoping all will be ok. A quick internet search has said the hardware is the same for US/UK and Japan. The power supply included is a UK one - the box was not sealed soaybe this has been changed before shipping. I am not seeing any broken seals though so might be it wasn't opened. All looks new inside.
