Worked fine for a medium size area.
I like that you can just plug it into the outlet with no power adapters. It had pretty decent coverage. I also use one as a wifi bridge to printer in another office. Never even had to unplug them to reboot them.

It works but comes with awful documentation
I ordered a WHITE model as a spare unit (already own the BLACK version of this product). Can't tell from the (unopened) retail box if the unit I received is WHITE as the retail box has a BLACK unit pictured w/ no indication (that I've found) stating what color is inside. If you're not technically inclined, this product might prove challenging to configure/setup as the included documentation is paltry at best. I found downloadable documentation at WAVLINK's web-site, but it turned out to be a PDF version of the installation "guide" included w/ the product (so it didn't offer any better setup assistance). Not for the faint of heart!Once setup, this item seems to work very well. After being plugged in for a day or so, it gets very warm (or mildly hot) to the touch, but I don't typically need to touch it once it's operational, so the raised temperature is not that much of a concern. (Should it catch on fire, that's a different story). If they haven't done so already, WAVLINK should create and publish a series of videos demonstrating how to configure/setup this device in its three (3) different modes (REPEATER mode, AP mode, and ROUTER mode). The videos should show how to configure the device via both the native web-interface and the mobile phone apps. (I only used the native web interface so have no idea if the mobile phone apps make setup easier), and they should expand out any acronyms (i.e. AP = Access Point). The videos should also explain differences between setups using BRIDGED vs NON-BRIDGED network mode.

It works!!! But not for long
I wand a device to convert Wifi to Ethernet. This item work for me. It is in Repeater mode. However, it also send out Wifi with different SSID (It append "EXT2.4G" and "EXT5G" to the original SSID). The manual show option to turn off Wifi but it is not there. I updated device FW, there is no option. I guess I have to live with extra Wifi signal.Edit:After a few days of use, It stop working. I try to hard reset. It turn on but it stuck at log in page. The default password does not work.

Compatibility + range
I have two, they work well with my application to increase my Wi-Fi coverage. Setup was easy. Definitely would purchase again

Fast, allows extended network different passeord, minimal sprcial characters sllowed in password
Very fast, allows extended network password to be different than host (security issue avoided), but allows very few special characters in password!?!

Not hard to set up
While I don't think it is extremely fast, I do think it is good for what I paid for it.

Poor signal strength
Setup was easy the first time. After resetting device, the setup process is unreliable. Have to reset multiple times to get a connection.Signal strength is poor. After connecting to host router, the wireless and wired download speed reduces by 50%. If the device is moved to another room then it doesnt connect to the host router signal properly. Both on 2.4 and 5GHz. Not what i was expecting.

Performs as advertised.
WiFi now covers four buildings spread over one acre.
