Nice saw
This is a nice saw for the price. Good power and quality. The seller states that it's made it China, and I guess it has to be for the price. Flex is a German tool company that was bought by the Chinese, but is still headquartered in Germany. Nothing about the tool seems cheap, and doesn't say made in China anywhere on it. Glad I got it.

Good strong saw
Great saw for the money. The motor is strong and doesn’t bog down. I do granite fabrication and we use these at work. I bought one for myself for side projects. The only weakness it seems to have is the triggers/power button. I’ve seen this happen on 2 saws when the motors were just fine. That is using them on an commercial scale and punishing it.

Look else where
What is your favorite color Chinese tool? Flex is a German company with some high quality German made tools. Why they would sell themselves short and rebadge a Chinese tool with their name on it seems to me a poor marketing decision. The cs-40 is only available through "flex North America " the quality German made Flex saw is only sold in Europe as the CS-60. I have tagged a pic of their original saw they tried to clone and sell to "stupid Americans".Their are 2 fundamental flaws with this product that gives good reason to look else where.First the included fence only allows you to work within 3 inches off the edge of a tile or stone slab. This is assuming you want your line to be parallel to your edge of your piece. The alpha saw and the beast-5 saw both have a fence that allows you to use that function as well as clamping a straight edge to the top of your work and running the saw next to the straight edge as a guide. With the CS-40 one would need to purchase an expensive sled to accomplish this task.Second the arbor size is 20mm , this is a very uncommon arbor size. I purchased this saw and the blade that amazon lists frequently purchased with. The industry standard 7/8 arbor (aka 22.5mm) on this blade is too big. I'm sure people have centered the blade and clamped it down with the retaining nut and used the saw anyway but this is a dangerous practice. If you have ever been in a vehicle with a tire out of balance then you know what centripicle forces feel like. Now put those out of balance forces on a diamond blade spinning at 13,000 rpm. It would make the saw feel unwieldy and put tremendous strain on the saws bearings. It is just flat out an unsafe practice, (personally I have been severely injured by a power tool in which centripical forces caused a blade to detach, I am lucky to have lived and learned after a few thousand dollars in medical bills and the loss of a few pints of blood)I contacted the company who gave me their sales rep regarding the inability to find a blade. They stated 20mm is an industry standard. When I replied that no one in the metro area (including Lowes, Home Depot, and several contractor/tool rental businesses ) sells a blade with a 20mm arbor or an adapter ring to convert 7/8.They replied a lot of the blade manufactures do not include the 20mm adapter ring on accounts of saving 1/2 a penny but I could probably find one at a granite fabricating shop.Flex also chose to also save 1/2 penny per saw and not include a 7/8 to 20mm arbor adapter ring. For 1/2 cent they could of saved end users a lot of frustration and prevented users from operating the saw in an unsafe manner. I never acquired the 7/8 to 20mm arbor ring. (Amazon who sells just about anything imaginable does not even retail a 7/8 to 20mm arbor converting ring ) I returned the saw and purchased the Beast-5 tile saw which I am happy with. It included a blade with a standard 5/8 arbor, a versatile fence, and brass water jets vs the plastic ones on the Cs-40. I hope I helped someone from frustration :) .

Good saw
This is a great saw, but I only gave it four stars because of blade fitting issues.First, the saw is made for a 5" diameter 20 mm arbor blade, but they are not a commonly sold blade at big box stores. So, I used a standard 4 1/2" blade. The problem with those blades is that the arbor is 23 mm. The blade then will fit on the shaft off-center and will vibrate. I had to carefully install the blade on center to make it work properly. I was able to cut through a 1 1/4" synthetic marble material easily.Second, when I ordered the saw I also ordered a 5" GoYonder blade (the saw didn't come with a blade). However, the arbor was too thick to work in the saw.

Wear an apron and put up splash shields
Odd sized arbor (20mm) most saws this size have a 22mm. I recommend Alpha blades. Slings water everywhere. It is easy to transport and a steady hand makes nice cuts

what a trooper!
Price was right, so I bought this as a back up to my dewalt tile & stone saw. Its now the preferred tool. Larger dia blade cuts thru 1 3/4" thick flagstone easily. highly recommend it.

Saw Recommended!
This is a great little wet saw. With a Dixie Diamond T205 blade it cuts through 1/2-5/8 blue stone like butter. The 10' cord and water supply lines make it easy to move around with too.
