Duplex Moon Atlas: The Next Generation Lunar Atlas Paperback – 5 Dec. 2022

Excellent atlas, describes itself as "The Next Generation Lunar Atlas" and IMHO lives up to that statement.Spiral bound, so easy to fold in two and handle in the field. Pages are coated and not plain paper. And two sets of maps, one for use with a star diagonal and one for use without.I read one review on another site bemoaning the fact that there's no detail. This is a field atlas, an a to z for finding your way around when you're out there looking through your telescope and it does that perfectly. If you want to know who Ptolemaeus was reach for Antonin Rukl.Not sure why someone would leave a two star rating..., especially as they don't back it up with comments or a reason. For me, well worth a five star rating.

This is by far the best detailed moon atlas around for those who want to have a more than just cursory look at the moon. This seems to be identical to the previous German edition: "Reiseatlas Mond: Krater und andere Mondformationen schnell und sicher finden Paperback – 10 April 2013", containing the same total grid of 28 maps and 80 pages but showing in the preview photos some inverted images. I prefer the original moon atlas as it only contains true image ('erect image') photos, as the naked eye would see them, rather than additionally also inverted images as one would see thorugh diagonal (non erect image) eye pieces. As the 2013 version is out of print, this presents the best full view atlas with a lot of larger details photos included, not just the survey photographic maps.
