Men’s Pajama Set, Long Button Down Pajamas, Lightweight Cotton PJ Set

Funny thing about these P.J.'s but as I am 83 years old, I have to say that this has been probably my best purchase of mens pajamas ever. They are made of a really substantial all cotton with good weight, good feel, good fit, really comfortable and include both an elastic band and a drawstring along with ample pockets. I have already washed them and they wash really great. A truly great value and a truly great purchase for such a minor thing as a pair of mens pajamas.

There is too much inconsistency within this brand. If you get what you expected, they are great pajamas. However, fabric and leg finish varies considerably across the different colors/patterns.We were very pleased with order #1, the original order of the light and dark blue striped with black piping--lovely, heavy-weight fabric that laundered well. So, we ordered another pair (order #2) in a different pattern--dark blue and white striped with white piping. The fabric on these was very light weight, much cheaper feeling, and completely different than the original pair. Plus, the label on these said hang dry, rather than low dry in the dryer as the first pair are. So,order #2 was returned. We gave it one more try and ordered the light multi plaid with white piping for order #3. These were the same great heavy weight fabric as order #1. But, despite seemingly being the exact same fabric as pair #1, after being shortened and worn we discovered the label in order #3 says hang dry. If they don't launder as easily as pair #1 they will be returned since the website says "machine wash cold, tumble dry low".Leg length and styling is another variable for quality control. All of these pajamas are quite long and definitely needed shortening for my 5'8" husband. Orders #1 and #2 both had a proper cuff on the bottom which made shortening more difficult. Order #3 was just a hemmed leg. So, this is another area in which the purchaser won't know what is being bought until delivery.If the pajamas were all the same quality and style as order #1, I would have rated the product a 5 star. As it is, with this brand there are just too many variables involved in what is actually being purchased to give anything higher than a 3 star.

Got these as a gift for my husband. He LOVES them. He has long arms and these are just right, He's tall and they are long enough. They are well made. The fabric is soft, breathable, perfect! Great purchase!Update: He loved them so much that I ordered two more pair for him. The grey pair was as we expected, great quality, well made, nice fabric, perfect fit. BUT, the black pair...A completely different fabric that was thin and scratchy. The finish on the seams was completely different. The collar and lapel was puckered and ill fitting. Even the labels, both the one sewn and the detachable one was different. The grey PJs were the same as the great pajamas we received in our first order, was from Cambodia, the black set, which was obviously a poor knock off was from China. It was insulting that these totally different pajama sets were sent to us in the same shipment. It was even more insulting that it must have been thought we wouldn't know the difference. There is a real lack of quality control or a knock-off was slipped in. I won't say we won't order more from this company because were were extremely pleased with the first 3 sets. We'll just watch out for the imposters.

IF you are looking for 100% cotton Retro PJ's for men you have FOUND them! These PJ's are RIGHT ON in every way! They fit loosely. (which is how they SHOULD fit so you don't wake up to various body parts TOTALLY asleep from the PJ's bunching up like some tyrannical Boa-Constrictor) The cotton material breathes as if you were King Tut standing on your own Egyptian Barge floating down the Nile in a light summer breeze! (NO weird rashes, in your warmer areas, as other synthetic materials will give you from the LACK of oxygen to your skin!) They wash beautifully and the colors remain bright and beautiful. With Holidays approaching I am ordering these for every male family member!

The material is definitely superior to the Haines brand and others I've bought through Amazon. I just ordered and received a second pair in medium. I hope they aren't too small. I think their sizes are larger than average. After the first washing they did shrink, but not enough to make the large pants fit. I've got broad shoulders and a small waist which makes getting the right size a problem, but these are very well made and the material is superior to the cheaper pajamas I've purchased. I recommend them highly.Update. I've just purchased an additional two pair. My evaluation still stands. They are well made, comfortable, and superior to cheaper brands. I do have one caveat though . It seems many items of clothing use an adhesive tissue-like material rather than hemming. I'm sure it's a cost saving practice, but it results in the bond failing after a number of washes. I'm too lazy to stitch them myself so I use a similar bonding tape which lasts until the pajamas are worn out. Nevertheless, it is a nuisance and results in a downgrade from 5 to 4 stars.

They have switched production facilities from China to Cambodia. The fabric is much thinner and the fit worse. Too bad. This used to be a good product. I would now recommend the Land's End pajama. It is not as good as the original Alexander del Rossa but it is better than the current flimsy offering from Alexander d. R.

I bought these twice. The first time I learned the hard way that you need to select the colour first, size second. If you do it the other way around, the order page will automatically revert to Small (if available in that colour). I had selected Large (I’m well over 6’) and then chose my colour. I received Small.However, customer service issued a return authorization right away and paid the return shipping. I then ordered the large. They fit well (I weight 180 lbs). I sometimes get claustrophobic during the night. These do not contribute to this as they allow free movement.Why only 4 stars? One: who needs pants pockets on pyjamas?! Two: they are a little pricey. But you have to pay for quality.

I buy hubby’s PJ from a very very famous store in London, the Cotton was nice but very tightly woven and warm. So I tried these and WOW , then bought 5 pairs!!!! They are incredible in every way!!! Yeh amazon

A nice smooth cotton, but it does look better if ironed, not that this is necessary for sleeping in. Liked the colour, light blue with dark blue piping, but why o why, BROWN buttons?

This is my second pajamas II have purchased, they are of good quality, comfortable to wear and fit very well, highly recommended.

Very comfortable. Lightweight fabric feels great. Love having pockets in the pants although that’s just a bonus.

Sizing is fine but the fabric quality is just awful. Washed once according to instructions and the material is so thin it shrinks and looks almost threadbare. I would not recommend.
