Initial impressions positive
Wanted to share my initial impressions of these drivers, since information is scant/misleading right now, including Channellock's own website. I was interested in these, but couldn't find complete information or pictures about the end caps from anyone. I ordered these based on confidence in the brand and the fact that they were USA made:- These do appear to be through tang drivers, and they do have a metal strike cap.- The metal cap does not seem to have "hex drive torque", whatever the heck that is. It's even printed, bafflingly, on the package. The metal caps have a 1/4" SQUARE DRIVE female receiver. See attached pictures.- The 1/4" SQUARE DRIVE receiver does not have indents to hold onto a ball detent, but does have good fitment on my square drive tools.- The #2 Phillips is fairly large for a #2. See attached picture comparing a #2 and #3 Phillips from a different make.- Fastener fitment on the Phillips tip was acceptable on the few screws I tried. Not as good IMO as German drivers, but acceptable.- The flathead had good fitment on the screws I tried. Nice taper and tip, isn't too thick like some screwdriver/pry bar type tools.- The flathead has a nice profile for light prying jobs.- The handles have a nice shape and hand feel, but they are very smooth, almost slippery. A little more molded texture might be nice for gripping in a slipper situation or with gloves.- Overall the drivers feel very robust, and imbue confidence that they would hold up for rough duty work.I can't comment on durability, but found them capable on a few immediate screwing/prying jobs I had at hand. Overall they have a comfortable and weighty feel in the hand. I'm optimistic, and am fairly excited about the possibility of using 1/4" drive tools on stuck fasteners.

These seem to be heavy duty and nicely made
I work as electrician and bought these to beat the knock outs of electrical boxes versus my regular screwdrivers. I'm trying to lighten my bag and have swapped my multiple regular screwdrivers to just 2 driver handles with changeable blades. This is why I bought a dedicated "beater" screwdriver. The only thing I wish is there was some way to easily tell which one is phillips and which is flat when the are carried tip down in an pouch. I will probably paint the handle of one in some way. I know channellock has their blue color marketing but would be nice if they simply made one of the handles red or black to distinguish them apart.

Still "Made in USA"; the real deal, Channellock brand, well made, exactly as described
Item description: Demolition head screwdriver set PH2 and SL1 driversBrand: CHANNELLOCKItem:Date received: 2023-07-27Headline - Still "Made in USA"; the real deal, Channellock brand, well made, exactly as describedProduct Claims1 set, DS-2H Channellock Demolition Screwdrivers, DP206H PH2 driver x 6 inch, DS146H SL1 x 6 inchI received exactly what was claimed in the product description. There are extremely well made, looking exactly like the product description. One aspect of the product description is not correct and needs to be clarified - it says these are "non-magnetic" but these screwdrivers clearly are "magnetic" (after all, they are steel); however they have not been "magnetized" (as some screwdriver tips are). Also contrary to the product description, there are no "INDICATORS for product type and size are laser-etched for easy identification" (however, there is product information injection molded into the handles). The weights and dimensions are further below. These are made in the USA of vacuum induction furnace (low impurity) heat-treated S2 tool steel with a black oxide finish. This is a "shock resistant" steel often used in hammers and chisels, and capable of extremely high tensile strength (290,000 psi). These are demolition tools where the 1/4-inch square shaft extends through the handle and ends in a large mushroom cap that can be struck with a hammer, which also contains a 1/4-inch hex head female driver receptacle. The soft plastic handle starts with a hexagonal shape and transitions into a tri-lobed grip which feels extremely comfortable.Due to the continuity of the blade through the handle to the top of the grip, these are obviously NOT for live electrical work. The straight slot driver is 10-1/2 inches long, weighing 165 grams, and has a tip that is 0.278 inch wide (essentially 9/32 inch) by 0.050 thick (not a "standard" slotted size, but often seen in demolition slotted drivers, which are also part pry bar and part chisel). The Philips head driver is 10-3/8 inches long, weighing 161 grams, and has a PH2 head (the most common); I noticed some scratches on the oxide at the tip (even though it was in factory sealed packaging) suggesting that it had gone through some sort of quality control test for fit and/or torque.

The nicest screwdrivers I've ever owned
Usually, when I review a product, I've got some pros and cons to share, but for these screwdrivers I'm pleased to offer a completely unqualified endorsement. These are the nicest screwdrivers I've ever owned. The handle is comfortable and feels incredibly sturdy, and the body of the screwdrivers is incredibly strong - I can see why they're called 'demolition' screwdrivers, although they'd be equally good for working with larger fasteners. One amazing feature I didn't realize these would have is the ability to slot each one inside the other. The top of each screwdriver has a cutout that perfectly matches with the flat or Phillips blade of the other one, so you can use the second one as an extension handle for working on a fastener that's positioned particularly deeply inside where you're working. It's an incredibly thoughtful feature and I'm surprised they aren't advertising it in the product listing. If your job requires you to do Large Scale Screwdriver Things, and if you tend to abuse your screwdriver by using it as a makeshift chisel, these are actually up to the task. Six out of five stars. I like these so much, I'm now going to be scrimping and saving to try to get some Channel Lock branded screwdrivers in smaller sizes for other everyday tasks.

They’re screwdrivers.
Never used the Philips. Broke the flat head after a few days but I bought it needed a small pry bar for separating parts. Would buy again.
