Bedmax Littlemax 20kg

Bought as substrate for rat cage. It does the job great and my 2 girls love to forage and dig in it. No odour and completely dust free. It’s as big as a hay bail and remains in the hessian bag it was delivered in. I’ve got it in the downstairs shower room which we don’t use. It’s going to last some time which makes it worth it

I used to buy the bigger flakes for my rats but my hoover would get angry with me and refuse to do it's job. So I switched to this one where the flakes are smaller and although my hoover sometimes still goes in a huff, it will pick up more of this. Massive amount for your money. The quality is also top notch.

I use this as substrate for my pet rats. It is scent and dust free so recommended for rats and their delicate chests.They love foraging for their food in it!

Good. Not dusty.

This is by far the best substrate I’ve found to use for my group of male rats. I’ve tried multiple different products including aubiose (far too dusty), back2nature (too pricey for anything but litter trays) and regular bedmax (impossible to hoover up due to large chunks). Little max is definitely my favourite and I’ll be using it for the foreseeable future. It’s nicely shredded so my boys can burrow and nest with it. The smell absorbency is okay, however my boys are litter trained so I can’t speak for an animal that isn’t, but with regular spot checks it’s easily manageable (I do have 13 rats all together!). I would highly recommend this product for other small furry owners looking for a good substrate 🐀🐾

It is obviously very good for horses - but NOT for small furries. I only found it was pine, and therefore unsuitable when I opened it. My own fault entirely, but I wanted to warn other, no-horsey people.

These arrived quickly and I have only recently got around to needing to open them up.... they do the job well in the bottom of the guinea pig hutch but it's worth making sure you break all the clumps up and remove the larger, sharper pieces before the piggies go back in!!
