How to Develop Self-Confidence and Influence People by Public Speaking (Dale Carnegie Books) Paperback – 4 July 2017

I am a manager at a blue chip company. I manage a team of 9 people and buying this book has changed my style of management. There will be some elements that is not applicable but most of it is about influencing and persuading people in an non offensive way. It is easy to read and follow. It worked surprisingly well for my team and my team is more engaged than ever. Just implement one element slowly before trying out another one. Understand that no one is the same so some advice work and some doesn't. Practice it until you get it. Overall I found it useful and productive for me.

Easy to follow and full of useful information written in a way you can relate to any aspect of your life or job. I'm a manager and find all of Dale Carnegies books so valuable for dealing and working with people and relaying information. Definitely recommended !

The title is somewhat deceiving because the advice found in this book is almost exclusively applicable to public speakers. That said, a lot of it can be tweaked and applied to other situations in life. Not always easy to read by the anecdotes were brilliant and very useful.

This is an incredible book and I’ve learned so much about how the great speakers prepared for their stages. I’ve made a couple of public speeches lately using the these tips and they worked. Thank you so much!

I didn’t find this book that helpful, and often quite repetitive although the key message of repetition, practice etc was good. I feel it could be a more concise book than what it was. The other Carnegie books are better so would recommend them over this one

Good tips on presentation, public speaking and writing. Found some very useful techniques which I now use such as getting the audience to sit at the front rather than spread out and getting the group to participate in your talk. Very interesting and useful book.
