PHP Solutions: Dynamic Web Design Made Easy

I have read the book from cover to cover and done all the exercises in it. It has been hard work but extremely rewarding.Professional coverage of web forms, databases, sessions,image uploads etc.My wish list for the next edition includes creating download links for zipped files, coprehensive coverage of PHP 7, a special appendix or summary on common frequently used PHP functions topic by topic eg images related functions,sessions related functions, user authentication functions etc. Because he is a very good writer, I am sure he could write a best seller book summarising common PHP functions topic by topic. I highly commend the auther for the work and thought put in writing PHP Soltutions.

I have the previous version of this book and found it to be brilliant.Just about to start on a new PHP project I thought I would get the up-to-date 3rd edition. Problem. The first example in Chapter 4 does not render correctly. After investigation this seems to be down to my use of Internet Explorer 11 which does not support the HTML5 <main> tag. The page renders correctly in Chrome. Now that I know of this problem I can work round it, but there is no warning of IE incompatibilities in the book that I can see. I hope there will not be other surprises later on.

Worth the money.

Great but, I wished I got the paper version.

With this book you can follow along, in easy steps. It is in plain English and you can apply the learning in the real world. My favourite php book.

Great book! Buy this one if you need a good php/mysql book with very good examples.

The book is a bit heavy on SQL and doesn't have as many PHP tricks as I was expecting
