They do what they say
Everything seems to work as expected. Though, be aware that if you try to use it on linux, it wont work without the drivers. Its not a plug in and its ready to go on linux. But otherwise, it worked fine, no issues. very happy.

Another great Rixmie product - a compact, flexible Ethernet adapter. Wish it was 2.5G.
This is another product in Rixmie's line of flexible mini cables. I've reviewed several of these and they've all been favorites - they hold up well to travel even over the long term, and the build quality is very good. This particular cable is a USB-to-Ethernet adapter, which would be perfect for travel for someone with an Ultrabook or MacBook without a built in port. It's thinner than many others I've tried, and the size is barely larger than a RJ45 plug itself. That does mean you miss out on activity lights, but that's a minor inconvenience.I do wish this was 2.5G. It's priced reasonably for a classic gigabit adapter, but I'm starting to get 2.5G capable routers and switches, so I'd like to see that in a future premium version.

Works on my iPad and iPhone
Tested working on my laptop, iPad Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro. Plug it in and connect the ethernet, and it goes. The rubber "cord" is not as flexible as I would like, but it lays flat. It seems durable enough just to toss in your bag and have when you need a better connection than WiFi can give.

Lightweight with a flexible cable, high speed but not Gigabit.

It works well but has some shortcomings
This C to ethernet/RJ45 adapter works well with Macs, but I'm finding a few problems which would make me look elsewhere next time, and are making me consider replacing this with something else. It's kind of stiff. It only "easily" bends in one direction, and that's up and down, perpendicular to your desk/laptop. For laptop use, I want it to flex in the other directions, back and forward. Unless your ports are mounted vertically, or you're using this with a desktop computer, it is a cumbersome cable.I would prefer a different material, such as a braided cable. It looks good though, and does feel solidly built but because of the shortcomings I've found, my opinion is for laptop use a different cable would be easier to use/more practical.

Fastest Dongle Yet!
Since PC motherboards went to USB C I have tried four different adapters to varied degrees of success. After trying them all I have finally found the one to use. This one. Most of them give you extra USB ports, one gave me everything including HDMI ports. What this one gives you is what I needed - speed and simplicity. What gives this one the advantage is the cable, which is actually a printed circuit board. When I plugged it in and checked the connection speed with SPEEDTEST, I was amazed. Check out the screen photo below. I now essentially have 100% of capacity. I ran the test three times, and the results were always the same. When I upgrade this Fall to 1GB, I should be able to attain Interstellar Warp Speed and join the Federation! All this in a very small footprint on my already crowded desktop area. Were I to go on the road, I could stuff this into my already overcrowded pocketbook and it would easily fit in. It's very sturdy, built to last, and isn't incredibly expensive.OVERALL - I'm going to buy another as a backup. KEEPER!!

Easy Way to Add Gigabit Ethernet to M2 MacBook Air
I occasionally need to use a wired Ethernet connection to connect my M2 MacBook Air 15" to my wired local area network (LAN). This adapter has proven to be completely plug & play. As soon as I plugged it into my macOS Ventura 13.5 MBA it immediately recognized the adapter and I was up and running. No configuration required. The flexible cable seemed a little stiff at first, but now that I've been using it for over a month it seems a bit more flexible. I have not seen any negative issues with this adapter such as a loss of connection or overheating. So far, it has proven to be very reliable and work exactly as expected.
