Worth every penny and more.
Had them about a year now and have detected5 different leak events.1 was a real issue caused by somebody leaving a sink on that wasn't draining fast enough4 were real issues caused by poor plumber workmanship during a home addition project.Any of these events could have gone unnoticed for days or longer causing further damage, instead within minutes of there being an issue I knew about it and was able to contain it.Only draw back is not compatible with home assistant

Super fast setup, comes with batteries
Already got an alert from the kitchen sink dripping, almost no delay in the app notification. Saved us from damaging a new panel under the sink. Setup took maybe 5 min, super easy. Comes with batteries so just pull the plastic tab, connect to WiFi and name the sensors. The sensors are already connected to the hub from the factory. They are very sensitive so the moisture from your hand is conducive enough to set off the alarm, but this is a good thing.

Setup was straight forward, pray I don't need them to work as desgined.
Setup was straight forward.I'm not going to knock off starts for my nit-picks.. but hopefully Govee sees the feedback. It all adopted well, worked as expected. Also did the integration into Alexa eco system, so my dots and shows holler at me when a water leak sensor trips. I put where the sensor is in the sentence for the announcement. So let the nit-picking begin...Following the directions, the only part that the manual wasn't well written and did not sync with what I was seeing in the app, was making sure notifications were turned on for the device. That small section of the manual seemed someone glanced over and didn't give the writing much thought.(I have a Pixel7pro phone)Rest of the manual was fine or good enough.Adoption of the gateway was quicker, less steps than the manual showed.I used AAA rechargeable batteries. They do run at a slightly lower terminal voltage than standard alkaline AAA, so the software shows 1 bar down for battery status with freshly recharged AAAs installed. Since this is all software based, should have an option to allow for rechargeable LiOn batteries, so the battery level displays at 100% when freshly charged and installed. And the low battery notification is better calibrated. Haven't had them long enough for a low battery, but I'm assuming here that it too needs to be addressed based on battery chemical type.Alarm, if you pick a standard sound on your phone, it comes and goes quickly. No persistence. The Govee software doesn't have a "latching" or "persistence" option, that the notification/alarm keeps going till you acknowledge it on your phone. I searched and found "Siren" in my phone's stock sounds that lasts and lasts,, maybe it is latching, or goes on for a very long time. After 30 seconds of it blaring, I assumed it will be good enough and used it. Everything else I tried lasted for a second or 2. Not good.Govee should either create a latching function / option when setting up sound based alarms/notifications, or provide a default sound that goes on and on, and on for a long time.In the end, the best was to have Alexa do an annunciation , which I have the routine doing the same sentence 4x in 1 action, and I have the same action 4 times, going to all my dots and shows..... so should be enough to wake me up from a dead sleep.Face it, this is for water leaks, damaging water leaks, it's an emergency to be addresses ASAP, so it needs to wake the heck out of you.If we get enough ran, could get a basement leak, I want to be woken up to deal with it before it gets too bad.If the water heater starts leaking, same thing..A faucet or drain leaks at a sink, same thing...These are not casual notifications that can wait till the morning.

This product does work, just takes time and persistence!
The most important thing that should be understood, is whether your router can be utilized to use the 2.4 Ghz required to operate the gateway for these detectors. I have an Xfinity router that is a tri-band, sends out signal on 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz bands. Unfortunately, the gateway could not find the 2.4 Ghz to operate. To counter this problem, I went to my Xfinity App to manage the WiFi and found I could split the bands and create a separate login for the 2.4Ghz. Doing this allowed the gateway to be successful. I also renamed the gateway so that I could manually load each individual detector box and name them for each location that I placed them in. I tested each detector and they sounded the alarm after a second or less, including the push notification on my Iphone and email.I found the instructions on the tiny manual were adequate but having to understand the steps for installing the gateway and the detectors on the Govee app.Future proof of operation will be on real time usage, hopefully no water leaks at all!I rated a four star as activating the product was not straight forward and instantaneous and the instruction manual was small (magnifing glass was needed) and not always easy to understand. If I couldn't have gotten my router to go to 2.4 GHZ, I would have returned the product. Govee needs to understand technological advances in routers!

Great home water leak detection / alarm product
Bought these a year ago and had my first alarm tonight. I had tested the alarm when first installed and have never had a false alarm. Today was an actual leak - actually just too much water from the kitchen sink which found its way under the counter. It gets your attention with an alarm as well as an email alert.

Everyone should get one!
This leak detector alerts your phone and sounds an alarm the moment water is detected. It is very sensitive and can detect small leakage. After suffering $5k in water damage from a slow leak, I now have these under every sink, behind my washer and fridge. Worth every penny for peace of mind.

Neighbor had water pipe burst
I looked for a cost effective way to protect myself from the damage my neighbor suffered. These devices will warn me of a leak, hopefully when it starts and before great damage. I have to believe it starts as a slow leak before a gush of water. This will catch that, sounding an alarm, plus notice through their app on my phone.Very easy to set up. I had this kit plus an additional 5 units set up within an hour. This gives me peace of mind!
