Made in China and I don't know why
I have been using these clips for years and think they are the best solution for instant access to one's cameras. They are well made and durable. The only reason I have ordered more is because I have added to my equipment and don't like to move my clips from pack to pack. They do not wear out. There should be competent USA companies that could make them for a reasonable price.

Best clip on the market
I already own one and got a 2nd for a recent photo trip to Europe… allowed me to hang two cameras on my backpack straps so could double gun and be THAT annoying with my gear.Actually I own the lens clip so this 2nd one allows me to clip a camera to my backpack strap and lenses on my belt. So, I’m basically Batman at this point. The Peak Design ecosystem is really 2nd to none. Pricey? Maybe.. but you get what you pay for.Honestly, I really do recommend these. SUPER secure! I’ve put these through a lot while literally climbing mountains and not a slip. Much less cumbersome than Cotton Carriers and more options as well.

Awesome product for hikers
This cleverly designed and well-made clip makes photography during outdoor activities a real pleasure. The clip comfortably secures even heavy camera/lens combinations. I've used it successfully on backpack shoulder straps and belt but I prefer the shoulder strap location for hiking. It is so easy to grab the camera, take the shot and re-secure it. Before using the Capture Clip I either had a camera swinging around my neck/shoulder or had it in my backpack. The former was both not safe for the camera and required frequently grabbing it to stop it from hitting something. The later was much safer, but required taking off my backpack every time I wanted to take a shot. This clip offers a great compromise. I definitely shoot more while out and about with the camera so easily accessible and safely secured. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to keep their camera handy and safe while keeping their hands free. It is really a brilliant product.

Fantastic clip, but not very comfortable
My experience with clips is a bit limited, but I really enjoy this clip anytime it is not on my backpack strap. It just digs into my shoulder a bit too much for my liking but having it on the pro pad works just fine or even attaching it to two peak design anchors and using it with their camera strap works fantastic

Fast way to securely have your camera(s) at the ready.
It's an amazingly we built (but they for the price it should be) device to hold your Peak Design capture plate equipped camera to your belt/bag strap/backpack strap very securely. Easy access to get it from your side/shoulder to your eye for those quick shots. Plus just so much nicer to carry when walking/hiking since you don't have to worry about it 'flopping' all around. It will stay attached!

Surprisingly good
So I bought the older version of the capture clip, for the price. I just bought the peak design tripod, I thought they would go together very well. I was a little worried because I have a small camera backpack from another manufacturer. After some trial and error, I realize it works better if I completely unscrew one side, put the strap in, then screw the screw in. Very tight fit, which for me is a good thing. Having the camera on the clip, is better than dangling around your neck during a hike. Also save you time undoing the camera strap each time when you put it on a tripod. I’m tempted to buy another one for my back up camera for my other shoulder ;p

Solid piece of equipment and very functional
I have other peak design equipment, this was an addition/extension to which I already own. I have a camera strap and hence did not need the plate. The clip is very well made, entirely of metal. It was easy to clip on to the shoulder strap of my backpack. Once tightened, it does not slip. Attaching the camera was easy, just slide it in and it locks. Removing the camera with one hand is a little bit more difficult, since you have to press to release. With two hands it is easy. I like the fact that the camera slides in from the top, hence gravity hold it down and there is no way it can slide off accidentally. Once it is hooked on the the backpack, you can hardly feel the weight of the camera(I have a D7500 with a 70-300mm lens)

Lifesaver
Before I got this, I was carrying my camera mainly by hand with a wrist strap. I have a Nikon D850 and that sucker is no light weight before any lens attached, haha. Went to Zion on a trip before grabbing this and my hand definitely got tired during hikes. After returning home, I decided to get this for the trip to Russia just a few days later. This clip definitely came through. I hooked this on my Lowpro backpack on the front strap with the camera when I was not using it while roaming city. It did the job. It was secure and it was easy to access when I wanted to take pics.
