The chemistry, the tension, the backstories — everything had me hooked. The characters felt raw and real, and the emotional build-up had me clinging to every word. It’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve finished. Highly recommend for anyone who loves slow-burn romance, emotional damage, and beautifully broken characters.I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

An amazing book by Lauren! Great sequel to Powerless.I love how the characters grow and develop in her books and their dynamic with each other. The tension between the characters is well written. I love the world and getting to read more of it was btilliant.I was so happy with how the story played out and then MAJOR PLOT TWIST! I cannot fathom it. I was left heartbroken and gobsmacked! Lauren knows how to torture a reader just like our good ol' Kai!I cannot wait for Fearless in April! I REALLY WANT A SPICY SCENE!

I was looking forward to reading this book after reading the first which was amazing!It was ok, I can’t say I was gripped with the one like I was the first book, but you need this for the storyline.I do like the storyline of it all though.Whey Pae and Kai finally made it back together but we all knew they would. They were meant to be.Overall I still managed to read it in 2 days. Well evenings.I would still recommend this I guess it’s more me wanting to read more gripping parts.Well done! Xx

I flew through this book, love these characters and the plot had me hooked can’t wait for book 3

I finished reading both powerful and powerless the other day and didn't hesitate to dive straight into this one. The story kept me pushing forwards and needing to know more. Paedyn is on the run from Kai and her crimes against the kingdom however Kai is determined to find her even if he has to travel into places best left untouched...The characters had me staying highly Invested in their journey and wellbeing. The world is just as good as the first one and it brought a lot of questions to mind.That said and the only reasons for the four as opposed to five stars is that not alot actually HAPPENED. there were a few repetitive bits designed to show the characters needing to make sure the other was okay etc. their caring. But I feel there could have been more to itOverall I NEED the next book in this series and it can't come soon enough

I laughed and I cried and everything inbetween. I love the characters and how their relationship develops through the book and what an ending!!! I can not wait for book 3. Awesome!!

I have no words, kinda slow burn, but so worth it!Getting the next one right away!!!Highly recommend this book ❤️
