What it lacks in length it makes up in strength. I have a digital audio work area and I was using " other" longer table holders to cradle small mixing boards that would slowly collapse because of the weight ( no more than 1.5 pounds)Not these. You tighten them up and they don't budge. I ended up buying three to replace the " other" ones

Exactly after 2 mo tha of light usage this stand is not able to hold the ipad and its falling down when i try to place it a certain angle while i play my keyboard

Couldn’t loosen the joints to adjust it at all, so it was useless. Returned.

I just got this yesterday, so set up today, hanging off the arm of my monitor mount to serve as a 5th screen. The clamp and arm seem solid enough for a tablet, as it's not being "touched" all day long, just when I first get to work/leave for the day. The thumb screw that it uses to "clamp" to the desk/arm is in my opinion too small. It's hard to get a hold of, once the thing is assembled, especially as my setup has the tablet basically RIGHT next to the mount, at least for right now, so the arm partially covers the thumb screw, and since I have it "under" the arm, the screw is down too. But it's holding my Samsung Tab S6 in a pretty beefy case just fine, and I didn't adjust the arm screws at all, just mounted it, and ran with it.

This is a very strong and stable tablet mount. I haven't used it for my phone, because I prefer to use a non-clamping phone stand on my desk. This mount is very stable, unlike mounts with a gooseneck. Those tend to wobble around from every little bump to the desk. The only problem I have with this mount is it doesn't extend beyond the length of the two arm segments, so the tablet will not extend from the clamping point any more than the 12" or so length of the arm.

I have this mount attached to my desk to hold my iPad mini. It's mostly metal and good quality. I do wish it had a larger range of motion and it's a little stiff to adjust. However, once you get it into position it stays where you put it. Works great for freeing up some desk space.
