Works well for what I need it for
I recently upgraded my computer with a raid system that includes two 2 TB hard drives for extra storage. I use it for 3-D modeling and AI work, and it’s been a game-changer!

Excellent enclosure with decent speeds
Got this to act as my media server storage for my Macbook Pro. It does the job. Speed is pretty good for old school mechanical drives in Raid 0. My only complaint is the fan. It's not super loud...but I can definitely hear it. I've gotten used to the silence of my Macbook Pro, and now I could hear this whirring softly in the background. It has a toggle switch, and I'm tempted to just turn it off. It only seems to cool the Raid controller and not the drives themselves. I'm not sure how necessary it is to keep the raid controller cool.

Failed on the second day
So I bought this unit and it arrived yesterday. After Extracting it from the box and read the instructions, I added my two 3.5 inch HDDs (one WD, one HGST (White label W-D mostly)) to the bays. I put them in, got it into its final position, I cut it and its fan on. It read my drives in Normal mode, or rather running in Normal. I ran it, it tested great through CrystalDiskMark and today its saying both are corrupted on the third time cutting it on.No information on the website for troubleshooting. On either o the websites I found for them, including the warranty website.Going to have to return this because its either not following the dip switches as set, or it corrupted the drives and deleted most of my backups, that were what this was going to be used for.Seems to be junk..?

Nice option for those old drives laying around
I consolidated my raw video media onto 2 spinning hard drives and installed them into this enclosure. I like that it can provide RAID capability although I'm not using it. The drive spins down after a period of inactivity and have the typical spin up time when using them, that's not excessive though. This device helped me do away with drive docks and all the cables. I consider it an excellent option for archiving my data off the more expensive solid state drives that I use daily, it can get expensive when you have to store terabytes of data on SSD devices. Equipped with SSDs this device can easily be the working disk without noticeably slowing your system. I would buy this again.

Failed under a year
I have been running this Dual Bay Hard Drive RAID Enclosure (MAIWO K35272C) for just under a year and then the 2nd drive port started failing and now it will no longer work at all on the 2nd HD port.

Very nice.
Easy to install, works flawlessly. One thing, if using 2.5" SSD there is no support bracket and the ones I purchased didn't fit. Regardless, since the drives are very light, I just let them hold themselves in place.

Economical raid enclosure with a couple caveats.
This two drive raid enclosure works and had no issues setting up or in use.. Tested in raid 0 and was as fast as as the two drives could do in raid zero which is great. However the drives would not sleep when idle, only if the computer was turned off. Also the fan is very loud. You do have to ability to turn the fan off, however this enclosure is runs hot. At idle, with a mild ambient temps, two red plus drives were over 50c. Fan size is 50mm so no silent options from noctua. I opted for another enclosure which is extremely quiet, the drives run cool and they enclosure will sleep the drives. The trade off was that the other enclosure I purchased was quite a bit more expensive.

Works well with plenty of flexibility.
I use this case with 2, 18 TB HDD's. I configured it to present 2 seperate drives to the computer and that works really well. You can also do Raid 0 if you want a fully redundant backup, or you can configure it to only show up as 1 drive but have the full capacity of both drives (36 TB in my case). It's quieter than my liquid cooled PC and has been completely trouble free. Installing the drives is easy and intuitive. There really isn't anything I'd change. It just works.
