When you stretch it out, it's 13 ft wide by 33 ft long.

Q: Would this net work for holding straw in place over new grass seed?

Yep, this is what I used this for. Tack it down with some yard staples, and it worked very well. The only problem was that a bird somehow got it's feet stuck in the netting, and I had to cut it free. But it held the straw down just fine.

Q: Can this be used for rose bushes? Will is allow for growth or get stuck on the thorns?

So, this netting does allow for growth and my thinking is if you plan on draping the netting on top of the rose bushes, it should be ok because thorns are on the stems. I hope this helps! Good luck!
