Some Kind of Perfect: 10 (ADDICTED SERIES)

A 5 Star FeelFest
A 5 Star Feel-Fest from beginning to end!!I gotta admit.. before this came out I didn't know if this book was strictly necessary, I have loved the entire addicted/ Calloway series from book 1 to book 9, but the last book Long Way Down had a lengthy and dreamy '10 years later' epilogue which caught up with all 3 couples. Would a full 700-odd page mega-epilogue really add anything?!Answer: yes, yes all the yes!!Set over 10+ years, from the little moments to the big life milestones this book was an absolute joy. With the angst of the main storyline behind them, this book just fleshed out the characters and the world even more as the expanded their families (like A LOT.. 14kids!) and dealt with their fame. the 6 POVs and huge cast meant it never got dull.I ADORED all of the children and watching them grow, seeing their quirks and personalities develop. Seeing the influences of the different couples on their children, and how being parents evolved the characters. If you haven't given these authors a try,.do it!!!! If you fall for these characters you get to live am entire lifetime with them. And you will feel every second of it(Note if you are new to series I really recommend skipping the LWD epilogue as it reveals lots of details of SKOP which it would've been nice to be surprised with). And Krista & Becca Ritchie aren't making us say good bye to this world just yet.. a full spin off series based on the.kids! I was a bit dubious of that to (what with it being set in the future) but now I KNOW the characters of the children I'm DYING for more of them.Somehow instead of ending it all this epic finally has made me crave even more from the characters and cemented this series as an all time favourite.

An amazing ending to an incredible series!
I have to start with the size of this book, because wow is it mega. I bought my copy as an ebook, but I imagine anyone with a physical copy having very sore arms! It seems strange for a contemporary book to be this big, this page amount is usually reserved for fantasy/sci-fi type books, but it worked really well and at no point did I feel like it was too much and that I just wanted it to end. It was the perfect amount of pages to end this story."We speak of moving mountains, but sometimes people can completely rotate the world, just so someone else can land upright on their feet."As I mentioned above the book takes place over ten years and most years will have a chapter from each characters POV. I will admit that I got a little bit lost at times about what month and year I was up to, as all we get is a little title at the beginning of each chapter like "Rose: October 2024" and different characters POV could be from different months. So we could have a chapter from Lo in January 2019 followed by a chapter from Lily in September 2019 and a whole different story would be happening."Look how far we’ve come. Look at us now. Ache for ache. Smile for smile. I only ever wanted to live this life with her"The characters were just as perfect as they have always been. Lily, Lo, Rose, Conner, Daisy and Ryke. I love this group of characters, I love their friendships, relationships, sister love, brotherly love and bromances. I love that Becca and Krista Ritchie managed to fit in a unique relationship between each of these characters without it feeling like too much."I never looked back in that way before, but for the very first time, I did. I looked back, and I only looked back at her."We got to meet some of the groups kids already in previous books but in this one we get them all, and not just as babies anymore, some of them we get as teenagers. I love seeing each of the different parenting styles for each of the couples. I love how it's totally acceptable to the kids that Ryke swears but is Lo does then he has to put a dollar in the swear jar. I love the family dynamics in that the kids feel more like brothers and sisters than cousins and all of the adults care for each others kids as if they were their own. It's just like one BIG family."Our bad days have the ability to become better. It may be a horrible month. A horrible year. But there will be good days, good moments, great seconds."The Addicted series was more than just a series of books, it was an adventure. An unforgettable journey of friendship and family, love and sacrifice. A journey that took our characters from rock bottom to happily ever after. When I picked up the first book I has no idea what to expect and I can't lie, I thought I was going to hate it. But from that very first book I found myself in love with it all, the characters, the story, the authors and there was no way I could have stopped reading this series part way through, I was in it for the long haul!I've stuck with this series through 10 whole books and I can't believe it's reached the end. Becca and Krista Ritchie give us a beautiful gift in this final book of letting us see the happily ever afters finally taking place and it is the perfect conclusion to this epic saga. I couldn't have asked for anything better, or more beautiful or more full of love than the ending they gave us."And then we end - we end where we started. Just us. All six of us."

sweet but long winded
I love this series, I've reread the books multiple times but this one was not very plot driven and was more the gang navigating parenthood and reflecting on they life, which is great, but for 600 pages? it was a little tough to pay attention too.

Infinity stars!
Saying goodbye to these 6 characters was so painful! The last six chapters had me crying ugly tears. I think this was the perfect ending to all of their stories.Seeing them live 10 years of their lives happy, with their families and together just made me so happy, the tears I shed were happy tears!I’m so beyond happy I decided to pick up this series because it has brought me nothing but joy. Each character individually has brought something to my life that I will keep with me forever. Then seeing them as couples and seeing their hardships and their happiest moments together brought me warmth and love. Then seeing them as the 6 of them together reminds me of the strength that family bonds can be. I adore these characters with my entire soul and I’m so sad I’ll never read one of their books for the first time again. But oh how I will be re-reading them!I’m excited to move onto Willow and Garrison’s book next, knowing we’ll see the core 6. But also seeing first hand how these two fell in love! Then I will be moving onto the next gen series because I adore those kids!

So much love
Thank you again KB for this wonderful gift to us all in the Fizzle Force. Seeing these moments and chapters in the lives of the Calloway gang and watching all the kids grow up was a magical reading experience. I tried so hard to savour my last first time but it was so very hard to put it down! There were so many tears and too loud laughter in inappropriate places (do not read on public transport!) while moving through this family album of treasured moments.I will always read anything Krista and Becca write and I can't wait to share this adventure going into the next stage of their writing journey! Still the only authors I have ever woken up hours early just to read a few chapters before work, and always worth it <3
