ICI Hammerite 5092964 Direct to Rust Metal Paint - Hammered Copper Finish 750ML

Great product for general rust protection. Also gives a good finish. Copper colour is Great, I always give a really good prep to the metal so there is no flaking. I find you really need 2 coats to get a great finish. Not a cheap product but gives good coverage. My preferred choice of rust proofer, I use it a LOT.

Application can be difficult, either drips a lot or you need several coats thinly done

Does exactly what it says on the tin ,was not to shaw about the colour but once on gate looks great.

Good Stuff! Does what it says on the tin, but not easy to use. A bit like trying to paint with treacle and ruins your paintbrush. Having said that, as you can see from the pictures it has transformed my garden furniture. Given it a new lease of life and will last for many more years. I experimented by giving the furniture a light ‘paint wash’ which has given a slight marble effect. Really pleased with the result. Highly recommend Hammerite.

Great paint for metal items but copper is more like dirty gold

Excellent quality paint and very easy to apply. Very strong odour as you would expect from hammerite paints. If using indoors I would recommend good ventilation and an open jar of baking powder to eliminate odour. Paint finish mid gloss and hides imperfections.

Paint quality is good. What I was missing was the number of colors to choose from. I painted a metal stairs.
